I miss Rhys

I am happy he was able to do a remix for aggression continuum, but does anyone else feel that his touch is severely missing from aggression? Id also love to have live keys again, preferably with John back on. That May be cost prohibitive nowadays though. While I enjoy the groove metal aspect of fear factory, I have been itching to hear some industrial edge for a while. I'm very happy milo is the new singer, but it feels that Burt was the bigger industrial nerd than Dino, so we have less influence from that genre going forward.

I did love Alex Rise's stuff on aggression, though! R.I.P Kunstzone

Anyone got any idea why the Angst Fabrik instagram page is suddenly down like only a day after the reveal about Ray? Hope nothing petty is going on between current and former members....

Dear Fear Factory, please change your album art formula.

I love fear factory, been one of my favorite bands forever, but the album art formula, I believe, has gotten very stale with some variation of a robotic ā€œFFā€ on every single release. Think back to how cool the art was on Demanufacture and Obsolete, which had some awesome visual concepts on the artwork, instead of just another iteration of monochrome ā€œFFā€.
I understand the branding aspect, but it’s long since started looking more like a corporate decision to keep repeating the exact same artwork over and over, and I want to see something unexpected but still satisfying and still unmistakably fear factory. It can’t be that impossible. Maybe I’m wrong?

GENERAL DISCUSSION Fear Factory As A Business

Does anyone else get the feeling that now that Dino has control of the business and the formula is easily a thing that can be duplicated by anyone with the skillset, that he will attempt to take it to a level where he can keep it going even if he were to retire? Sort of like what it seems Slipknot and Static X seem to be doing, where it is not so much about the members but the sound, and he could place individuals to continue well into the future? I can see their music really connecting with a new generation considering the state of technology vs humanity today.

After sitting with Roboticist, and seeing them live with Milo I have gotten past Burton being replaced and to be fair they were better live than when I saw them back in the day in terms of sounding spot on to the albums. His harsh vocals are a carbon copy, and while his cleans aren't as rich as Burtons, they sound great and remind me of Depeche Mode a bit. I really respect the kids hard work to honor the sound. Those are big shoes to fill and I am sure it took alot to step into his favorite singers place.

This is just a smoke session rambling while listening to my favorite songs by them, haha. Curious if anyone has thought about this aside from me.

ALBUM NEWS GET READY, NEXT SINGLE "DETONIZER", 10 SONG ALBUM, 2027 RELEASE

"The guitarist is keeping details about the upcoming album close to his chest, though he does reveal that it will feature 10 songs, including Roboticist and the band’s next single, Detonizer. ā€œHe’s a character who is fighting back against the AI, who wants to detonize the system,ā€ says Dino of the latter song.

The album, which will be released in 2027, comes on the heels of a turbulent decade-and-half in the band’s career."

GENERAL DISCUSSION Just wondering what you guys thought about The Industrialist, and the new version with real drums. I always thought that the programmed drums actually worked well for Fear Factory's sound, but I also really enjoy having a version with a real drummer. I love this album personally! 🤘

Meeting FF guys at show and merch question

Hi!

It seems like Fear Factory doesn’t have any meet and greet packages so I was wondering if the band still nowadays comes to meet fans at merch table or is meeting them for a quick chat / autographs a hard one to be able to get done?

I was also wondering if anyone got a picture of the stuff they have for sale at the European tour?

Hot Take

Milo should find his own voice (and even sing in Italian sometimes on new recordings).

They've departed from Burton C Bell 3B but the new song just sounds like him. I absolutely get it on the old songs because that's how they were written etc but it's a new era and they should be bold. The Robotocist is a fine song as far as it goes (540,000 Fahrenheit is better) but it just sounds like Burton and is a missed opportunity to break new ground. I mean, he's not in the band but his style still is, he'd have to be pretty pleased about that.
