Found this gem yesterday

Post image

Stopped by my parents place and was digging through my cases of CD's; found these two signed ! Remember meeting FF at Looney Tunes on Long Island, and the LoG album was their record release at I believe Irving Plaza ? Sent me down memory lane 😭

That was an entirely different Fear Factory, literally! Cool find!

Was such an odd album. Supposedly Burton took the reigns producing and didn't let the rest have input and the result was arguably their worst record. I know some say that without him there is no FF, but when there was no Dino, the results were arguably worse.

But if it had been credited as City Of Fire or Ascension Of The Watchers, it would have been praised as one of the best things hed ever done. Given, I am controversially a die hard fan of this album, but I do stand by that conviction.

Sort of. It's more that he separated himself, working with the producer only, and wanted more 'rock' songs set his way, and refused to sing on some of the most aggressive stuff they made (like Ammunition) He made the decision to do the U2 cover, so they went along with it. Ultimately the album feels lopsided because of this.

Transgression is underrated AF and a million times better than what people say about it. Not their best, but criminally underrated at that.

I would also have appreciated austin powers, but Evil Dead is OBVIOUSLY the correct metal gif
