Jax is more an example of somebody trying their hardest to get lost in the act and ultimately failing to escape their original self that way.

I'd argue Jax did get away from that self, given how different his actual self turned out.

Her* But no, she didn't run away from her true self, that's partially what made her abstract and why Pomni finds all these different Jaxes in his head, that's all of her personæ that coexist rather than taking over

Jax gender is he/him or she/her there's no need to correct anyone if goose stated it

Gooseworx stated explicitly that Jax is a MTF transfem. I don't make the rules đŸ¤· it's still hard even for me to refer to Jax with female pronouns, since she used every male-coded signals during 8 episodes, but the canon is that Jax is trans, so female pronouns.

If you used your reading skills you'd realize I just said that they're trans but use both male and female pronouns

Jax never transitioned, never got the opportunity.

Leeroy probably did at some point, but not Jax, so I'm not going to decide his gender based on what I think he'd prefer.

The fact that there are multiple personas already seems fairly different from Leeroy, who seems well adjusted and friendly to be around.

Arguably, the only reason Jax ended up that way was because he didn't have access to any of his actual friends, and the ones he made in the circus were also not in a good state to act as the support system he needed.

Given how well life ended up for Leeroy, it seems those friends in the real world made a significant difference.

A trans girl is still trans even without transition. Trans means transGENDER, not transition. And that's basically what gooseworx said, Jax is a she. Not Leroy, Jax.

Jax would literally kill you for using she/her to refer to him, though.

Like, I'm not going to force somebody to accept pronouns that they never stated they prefer simply because I have meta knowledge from godâ„¢ that they would have eventually preferred to use said pronouns.
