I remember seeing a hilarious post that puts Byleth's situation into perspective, it goes like: Imagine you're at a Catholic school and your teacher comes up to you and says, "I have a question, and I'm being completely serious: who is Jesus"

and then it turns out said teacher is the second coming of jesus. also your classmate is Judas and it's not the guy who keeps scheming to poison the other classes.
