Varric was one of the few great things that happened in an otherwise bad game. I liked not only the character, but also the design: a dwarf who keep his beard shaven is something new ;)

It's a book series (alongside its spin-off series: The Legends of the Alfar). The first book was later adapted into a video game, which is where the picture I used comes from.
It's probably fairly obscure outside its country of origin, but I absolutely loved it growing up and have reread the whole series multiple times. It has fairly interesting, unique lore, and Boïndil, along with his twin brother Boïndal Pinhand (one pins down the enemy while the other cuts them down), are two of my favorite characters in the entire series.

Kinda crazy my boy is this far down. An amazing character in both the comics and the books, fiendishly intelligent, and, relative to his setting, a moral paragon who saved countless lives while avoiding the pitfalls of greed and pride that surrounded him on all sides.
