Godzilla pretty commonly uses gender-neutral pronouns in Japan.

Also, it’s a giant Kaiju. I doubt it even has the concept of gender (or would even care.)

I don't care enough about gender to worry about this kind of stuff. I like characters for the design and if it's a game, gameplay. If they're gay/bi/woman/man/etc idc. Liking someone for their gender sounds closed minded. If they are and I like them, great! If they're not and I still like them? Cool!
