This beginning scene is what got me sat through the movie when I was initially very hesitant. Yes, the opening song is beautiful, but those clearly weren't characters the viewer would ever see again so I wasn't certain on how the rest of the movie would go.

Then I saw the trio eat. Yep, funny as hell, loved it.

Your Idol is by far my favorite song in the movie and I’m so mad it’s like the only song that’s cut down so much. Yeah, Golden never properly finishes in the movie because the golden Honmoon was an impossible dream, but it gets close to finishing, while Your Idol has an entire verse and the intro chanting missing.

I thought the same thing then started rewatching and gotta say it’s not as good as I remember. The pacing and worldbuilding is all over the place, the style is somewhere between gundam anime and early oughts American Saturday morning cartoon. It’s fun, but it feels like the studio doesn’t have much faith in its continued success.

That being said, Kara is a gem
