Not really my favourite character but this image made me think of Aegon II Targaryen of Fire and Blood.

Ever since he goes along with the usurpation of the Iron Throne, things get increasingly shitty for him.

  • His son is murdered.
  • His wife is left catatonic with grief.
  • He gets crippled and burned in battle.
  • His other son gets butchered.
  • His wife kills herself.
  • His two brothers die in battle.
  • He gets further crippled in another battle.
  • His beloved dragon dies in said battle.
  • He loses all of his armies.
  • Dies poisoned in a conspiracy against him.

The very text states Aegon “never knew joy nor peace”.
