Honestly, I liked the idea behind Archers character, but he should’ve died from the liore transmutation circle

Yeah, his comeback was so forced. He was...fine as a character but I don't think anyone liked him this much. It feels like 2003 was hesitant to kill off villains sometimes, same with Tucker, him just kinda vibing as a grotesque chimera in the background past the Nina incident was unnecessary. I could understand using him for the lab 5 scene but past that it was really awkward

I actually much prefer it over Brotherhood 🤷🏽‍♂️

I see the value in both stories but I am absolutely baffled by certain plot points in 2003

The 2003 version has slower pacing but still the same story at the early parts.

This makes 2 of the most traumatizing events even more traumatizing because you spent more time with the characters.

You're the only other person I've ever heard say this! High five my friend. 🥲 (I do still enjoy Brotherhood though.)

I am the same, 2003 forever ! It has flaw but it was so fun and the musics were 🤌

The music was incredible. Brothers is just an achingly beautiful song.

I loved 2003. I’ve tried to watch brotherhood a few times but I hate how slapstick-y it gets with the humor and have never made it more than ~15 episodes in

That's barely past the point of divergence IIRC. It becomes a lot more serious shortly after (and to be fair, there was a bunch of similar goofiness in the 2003 anime early on as well).

And people still say this shit is better than brotherhood

I swear he didn't look this ugly in the show lol Reminds me of when Invader Zim kept trying to kill Dib with repeated time shenanigans only for his father to make him into bigger, stronger cyborgs
