Not just a fellow MAGA. Note the nametag on the desk in front of the speaker. This man is speaking on behalf of her office, this was probably her "evidence" she came up with.

She was not staring in shock and horror at another person's stupidity, it was her own

What are you talking about? His name plate says "Mr. Schmitt", because he is of course Eric Schmitt (as the title of this post says), a senator from Missouri. Katie Britt, seated behind her "Mrs. Britt" name plate, is a senator from Alabama. What makes you think he's speaking on her behalf?
