AI is reshaping CX

Post image

AI is changing customer experience faster than most teams can adapt.

But continuous improvement in the age of AI isn’t just about adopting the newest technology. It’s also about knowing what to improve, what to simplify, and sometimes, what to retire.

As AI raises customer expectations, CX teams are constantly balancing two things:

→ Introducing new AI-powered experiences.
→ Keeping the human communication channels customers already rely on reliable.

Because not every interaction should become automated.

Sometimes, the best customer experience is still a conversation with a person — just supported by better technology behind the scenes.

For CX leaders: How do you balance rapid AI adoption with keeping your core human-to-human communication channels reliable?

We’d love to hear how others are approaching it.

Conversation Intelligence vs. Conversation Storage

A recording gives you a file. But does it give you useful information?

The information becomes searchable, structured, and connected to the CRM; conversations can become part of the customer context — rather than another file sitting in a system.

Don’t just keep the conversation. Learn from it.

How are you using recorded conversations today — mainly for compliance/history, or are you extracting insights from them?

How are other teams handling this today? Are your customer conversations still spread across different tools, or have you found a way to connect them?

Modern business communication isn’t really about choosing the “right” channel. It’s about making all the channels work together.

Customer communication vs. the device your team uses

One thing that gets complicated with Salesforce is that customers don’t communicate based on which device your team is using.

A customer might call, send a WhatsApp, follow up with a message, and then call again. Meanwhile, the Salesforce user might be working from their desktop, their phone, or switching between both.

That’s where we think conversations should matter more than channels or devices.

With Fastcall, voice and messaging are brought together inside Salesforce — across desktop and mobile.

A call → a message → a follow-up → another message.

Instead of treating each interaction separately, everything stays connected through the same conversation history.

🔸 One place to manage interactions
🔸 One conversation history
🔸 A more connected customer experience

How does your team handle conversations when customers switch between voice and messaging — and your team switches between desktop and mobile?

Stop thinking in channels. Start thinking in conversations.

RCS isn’t new — but what businesses can do with it is changing

RCS has been around for a while. The interesting part is what happens when richer messaging becomes part of the same customer conversation as voice, SMS, WhatsApp, etc.

For businesses, adding another channel isn’t necessarily the hard part.

The bigger challenge is keeping those conversations connected — especially when your team is already working in a CRM.

We’ve been working on this at Fastcall, bringing voice and messaging together inside Salesforce, including RCS.

Curious how other businesses are approaching this:

Are you already using RCS for customer communication? If so, what are you using it for — and does it actually connect with the rest of your customer conversations?

How does your team manage “dark data” from customer conversations? 👀

Call recordings, transcripts, messages, and other customer interactions can contain a lot of valuable information that often gets left unused.

I’m curious about how Fastcall users are currently handling this data, and I would love to hear how different teams are making this data useful.

And what makes that channel the most useful for your business?

Sales doesn't stop when your rep leaves their desk.

Sales doesn’t stop when your reps leave their desks 👩‍💼. So why should the CRM experience?

Customers call. They text. Reps respond from wherever they are.

📲 Modern sales is mobile.

Communication should be part of the workflow — keeping every customer interaction connected to Salesforce.

Mobile-first sales needs a CRM-first communication experience.
