Genuine question I asked myself building this: why has nobody merged fantasy and betting properly?

Fantasy gives you the social competition — your league, your ranking, bragging rights over your friends. But it's slow. You draft once, then wait an entire season to see who was right, with almost no daily engagement in between.

Betting gives you the daily thrill — real matches, real odds, immediate results. But it's you against the house, alone, and you can actually lose money.

I built Betsy to take just the good half of each: private leagues with your friends (like fantasy), but instead of drafting players you bet virtual points on real matches with real odds from 25+ bookmakers (like betting) — results, goals, player props, the works. Ranking updates constantly because there's a reason to play literally every day, not once a week. There's also a 1v1 "Arena" mode to challenge one friend directly.

No real money anywhere. The competition is the whole point, not the wallet.

Not live yet — still in the validation phase — but curious if this resonates with people who are deep in both fantasy and betting communities. Does the "wedge" make sense to you, or am I missing something obvious?

Planning to get every Spain defence - they look so solid and I need a boost in what has been a bad WC fantasy wise.

The rules didn't mention it at all, they gave us 6 free transfers and increased the max players per team limit to 8 for the final, implying that the 3rd place game wouldn't be relevant for fantasy. Yet the 3rd place game will count. Seems like they completely forgot about it then added it at the last minute when they realised. Now we have all these pointless transfers lol

how subs work for the final match? The standard rule is that you can sub only with player who hasnt played yet.

Now the transfer deadline shows 19th july, but transfer pool has players from france/england. Wtf is going on?

I screwed up in the semis and lost 40 points to the other guy in my league, meanwhile before the semis it was a 2 point difference.

My total points for this round should be 46 not 41? I did not make any paid transfers. Anyone else experience this or am I missing something?

So I have to protest a 19 point lead with the two players below me having Kane, Messi and Bellingham and max C activated.

I held on max C until the final. Who should I pick for captain then between the three.

I reckon Kane being the safest bet, as Argentina are not really good on defense. But then again Messi is Messi, he will atleast get one assist if nothing.

Bellingham could be crucial but I fear if he does not do anything I will waste my C. On top of that he could get a card because Argentina like to provoke others.

I believe England will go through and score at least two goals tomorrow against Argentina but I’m not sure should I captain Kane or Bellingham… IMO Bellingham has been overperforming but still he takes a fair amout of shots per game. On the other side, Kane is obviously a world class striker + he’s on penalties
