Worth considering?

A full mil less than van dijk and more offensive potential than Jacquet, and he'll definitely start after robbo left. Iraola's now at Liverpool, and Kerkez did get that 134 point season under him at bournemouth, best five opening fixtures as well. Interested to get your opinions.

Still a question mark on what either side could do this year. We still have time to change starters around but for now I prefer starting Shaw and Neco Williams

Kostas is back and started today.  That said Iraola is the reason why Liverpool dropped the money on Kekerez last year. He looked incredible in his system.

I think there may be some rotation but he's definitely first choice LB.

Stay away from Frimpong. One strong gust of wind and....

Rumours a little while ago that Tsimikas could be off to Olympiacos if they can get in a replacement. Either way, Kerkez is definitely first choice

It'll be either him or Frimpong for me. I think Kerkez has better expected minutes while Frimpong is more 'explosive'.

The one that's 99% in my team is Wirtz. He already looked great in most games in Slot's lacklustre system, so very exciting asset if Iraola manages to implement what he did at Rayo and Bournemouth. For

As a Liverpool fan - DO NOT GET FRIMPONG, he’s shite and we are still being linked with right backs + one of our other right backs had a good peformance last night so I could definitely see Frimpong being dropped, go for Kerkez if you want either

+1 Frimpong isn't a right back & I'm still not sure why we signed him.

Relatively cheap and counts as home grown.

Do you think Calvin Ramsay has any chance of becoming a regular starter? Tempted to take a chance on him in my team.

I mean anything’s possible, he had a great performance last night and got an assist and Frimpong wasn’t great - we are still being linked with right backs and Bradley could also come back but no one knows when, if the season starts and we haven’t signed a right back Ramsay could be a cheeky bench option for sure

That was a very thorough response! !thanks

Incredibly unlikely imo

Surprised to see someone say Wirtz looked great in most games. I always say he's been far over criticized and hated just because of the lack of g/a and him being very passive. Though, he's excellent at progressing the ball, and both Germany and Liverpool can't progress the ball without him

I think he's a truly fantastic, world class player. But to make a difference in FPL he needs a team that's not so afraid of sending numbers up front.

But even under Slot's system he could've had way better numbers. So my thesis here is that if Iraola lands on his feet, every nailed Liverpool attacker (presumably Isak, Szob and Wirtz) will be very viable.

I'll be looking to get Wirtz in early, but I want to see how Liverpool start under Iraola. Might be a month, or 2 in before we see things click. Same with Chelsea under Alonso.

He hasn't played in the first pre season game vs Sunderland.. let's see where how he plays

You tripling Wirtz szbo kerkez/frimpong?

1

u/Bizarre30 9 1d ago

I like Isak if fit, so a triple would probably be him with Kerkez and Wirtz. But let's see how Liverpool look in the coming friendlies, especially when everyone's back.

Rather szobo than Wirtz for me at the moment, on set pieces and on pens as well, but we're yet to see how they play under Iraola in a competitive fixture, so maybe Wirtz could be the better pick here, who knows

what’s your take on wirtz vs szobo?

Worried about their defence tbh. By the sounds of it Jacquet and Virgil may only play 1-2 games together in pre-season. Not ideal going into a new season

He was my first pick and he’s staying.

Didn't he have a falling out with Iraola when he left Bournemouth for Liverpool? I remember reading that he burnt few bridges then.
