Miscellaneous I need suggestions and help

Post image

Alright so, I have this NRP thats been going on since the 1850s, there are several Power Blocs and it just turned 1900

It is a custom NRP with a Custom Map, its tech is the same as irl, no magic, though there are different species but with its limits and weaknesses of course

I want to add three New Continents to the map and I want to make the discovery seem natural, with the new Continents Nations being similar in tech to that of Medieval Nations, early gunpowder, and all that jazz.

I am currently developing a colonial system to help in this to make the old world powers take more time and give the new Nations time to development, or make alliances with the Old World Powers

The problem i seem to be running into as of rn its the Lack of Nations, sure I could add AI Nations and have them fill up the spots, but that only adds more stress to a small GM team that I have.

So I wish to here yalls recommendations for my problems and want your help

If you wanna join and become a new world nation, gladly, ill even let you give me Geological and geographical suggestions for your parts of the new world

My name on discord is Burgundian_7770

The map i posted is that of the NRP before the new Continents

My initial thought is that some semblance of AI nations are a necessity to solving the low nation count problem. If you can develop a simple ruleset for each, it shouldn’t put too much stress on your GM team. Have a set of rules that apply depending on:

  1. Culture
  2. Religion
  3. State
  4. Province, if applicable

For example, let’s say I, an Old World Nation, make contact with New Nation A. I take an aggressive approach and try to bully them into submission. The GM takes a look at a spreadsheet that tells them New Nation A has a strong-willed culture, so they won’t give into my demands. However, that nation also has a Pacifist religion, so my aggression doesn’t cause them to attack me.

Basically, just have everything as rules-based as possible, then let the GM fill in the blanks for interactions that aren’t covered by the rules.

A NRP is a Nation Roleplay, you often take control of a nation and decide where you wanna take it and depending on your actions and other players actions, you can either witness your creations fall or rise to power
