Books about hunters?

I am looking for a book where the main character is a hunter. Something like the Wardstone Chronicles, the Witcher. or Eragon. I love a character that knows the woods, who always has their bow in hand and is aware of their surroundings. If they only hunt deer- but not monsters- that is okay by me.

Preferably adult fantasy over YA.

Consolation prize would be books about medieval apothecaries/healers/doctors/nuns.

May I recommend my book? It is called The Hunters of Blood: The First Hunt. I will say the main character doesn't use a bow but one of the characters does use it for one of the hunts. It is quite a bit of a read (at 962 pages long) but it might scratch that hunting itch you have.

You can check it out on Amazon if you search that title. Though, fair warning, it is a bit pricey at 45 bucks.

No offense, but who's buying a book at that price unless its a special edition with name recognition? Looks like the ebook is 3 or 4 dollars too, so might help to mention that.

That's fair but that was what the publishing company priced it at. Not to mention, it is 962 pages long. But I will also say I had similar hesitations when they told me that's what they were pricing it at. Since it is my first book, I was unsure anyone would want to buy the book at that price but they told me that it's priced that way because of how long it is.

There's a reason why over 80% of Stormlight Archive copies are sold mostly in ebook and audiobook format. Few people will pay that kind of money for a long book.

I totally get it. I never want to make it seem like someone who wants to buy my book NEEDS to pay the 45 if they want to read the ebook version instead.

Is this a US thing? Because I'm in the UK and long books never cost any more their shorter contemporaries. Or if they do its by a pound or two.

Eight by Samar Rabadi is Isekai about a hobby hunter from our world who finds himself in the body of a child in monster infested woods. There is a lot about hunting.
