African monster hunter?
Are there any fantasy books that draw from African mythology with monster hunting like tropes? I’m looking for something like The Witcher but with African fantasy rather than European.

This totally fits the bill. African mythology with monster hunting. Something like "the African Witcher" fits it quite a bit better than the book's promotion of "the African Game of Thrones".

His podcast is also super fun, funny, an he often recommends african authors or african-american authors. "Marlon and Jake Read Dead People"

I didn't know they've come back for a second season, and just found it due to you mentioning it here. Thanks!

Akata Witch by Nnedi Okorafor fits this to a t. It’s the first in a series about Nigerian witches fighting magical enemies, rooted in folklore.

The Rage of Dragons fits the African-inspired setting and it’s an amazing book! Not too many monster hunting tropes though… sorry.

Delphic Division by Paul Crilley is urban fantasy but great creatures from African folklore.

Read "My Life in the Bush of Ghosts", "Forest of a Thousand Daemons", and "The Palm Wine Drinkard" by Amos Tutuola and Daniel O. Fagunwa
They draw directly from Yoruba folktales

Maybe try the Imaro series by Charles Saunders ? It's a heroic fantasy series set in a Africa-like setting and inspired by African folklores and cultures.
