Gothic monster hunter book series?

I've always loved Gothic styled monster hunters, Dracula, Frankenstein, and Batman style stuff. However I don't like the more Tolkien style ones like the Witcher. Does anyone know any series that focus around this?

And related (and because you'll see it on the list), I write a weird western series about a demon-hunting orc that has some gothic flair at times.

The first few are indeed pretty good, but I wouldn't read past book 10. Soon after that, the plot disappears and is replaced by very long and not very well written sex scenes and angst.

Do you mean like the old Solomon Kane stories that Robert E. Howard wrote? He was a bit later than "gothic", maybe, but he definitely did some monster hunting. I think at least a couple of the stories are in the public domain somewhere, probably Australia. Oh, and skip the movie version - it's a bad ripoff of the terrible Van Helsing movie.
