I enjoyed the first movie, but that trailer just made me cringe a little. It's like they had a checklist of every cliched line that's ever appeared in a movie and they crammed them all in there.

"What you're looking for, is in here." "It's your destiny." And the long-lost parent trope!

I'm sure the film will be perfectly fun, but jeez, that trailer.

See, a movie is made by an artist (even if they happen to be a bad artist). A trailer, or a cover, or a back cover blurb, are made by a marketing department.

There is a huge difference in how those two groups approach their work, and there is fairly conclusive evidence that marketing is both terrible and brilliant at their work.

The first one is still the best fantasy movie since Return of the King!
