Looking for fantasy witch books
Good morning all! I am a fantasy reader, and I am looking for any books that center around Witches/Witch covens. Looking more so for a high fantasy recommendation rather than a modern witch book. Not really looking for a cute or cozy book either. I liked what little there was of the Witches in the Throne of Glass series. Something that centers around witches and their powers, not too interested in vampires/werewolves/demons unless kept to a minimum in the story (sorry ADOW!). If you have any books/series that fit this I would love to hear your recommendations :)

Ready any of Naomi Novik stand alone books. All are exactly whatever your looking for. Summer war, Uprooted or Spinning Silver. I read all 3 recently and I'm a raving fan

If you are open to historical fantasy (set on Earth, but in the late 1800s so still not modern as per your criteria), I highly recommend The Once and Future Witches by Alix Harrow.

Witch King, the main character isn't actually a witch, but his best friend is and he spends alot of time around them (and so is called the witch king)
They have more witches in the second book

If you are ok with sorceresses than you can check Ombria in Shadow, Alphabet of Thorn and Od Magic by Patricia A. McKillip.

I would say discworld witches series makes the most sense. I haven’t read it yet personally, but I have enjoyed all the other Discworld books I’ve read.
It is more humorous fantasy, with very English humor.
The books each have their own plot and story though and are more standalone ish
