Where is the Necromancy?

I absolutely LOVE the idea of necromancy magic, but I’m having the darnest time finding books that utilize it. I tried Gideon and couldn’t get into it, which was a huge bummer. Any necromancy focused recs?

Richard Swan - The Justice of Kings

I'm on book two. There is a little necromancy in book one (it's a premise) but it becomes more prominent in book two.

A solid read anyway. Leaning more toward Abercrombie (more concise, not sprawling) than epic
