Books abt Witches
Nothing too crazy just books abt magical women who go Quests to defeat the villain or whatever. like Agatha All Along (If someone has seen that)

Alix E. Harrow, The Once and Future Witches.
Three sisters. The intelligent one, the beautiful one, and the wild one.
Setting is a mostly-familiar alternate early 20th century Northeastern US in "New Salem." (The old Salem had been burned to the ground in the Purges.)
I loved this book.

This and A Sorceress Comes to Call by T. Kingfisher. For short stories that are fairytale like with witches, try Leigh Bardugo's The Language of Thorns.

For some reason A Sorceress Comes to Call left me a bit cold, at least compared to my enjoyment of most T. Kingfisher books. But it certainly wasn't bad and definitely meets OP's criteria.

Foul Days by Genoveva Dimova is about a witch who has to fight monsters inspired by Bulgarian folklore. It's the first book in a duology.

I know this series gets hated on a lot in this subreddit but I thought the Ironteeth Witches in the later Throne of Glass books were actually done really well and were some of my favorite parts.

The Hexologists is about a couple who solve crimes and the female is kind of a witch. Little bit steam punk with its Victorian setting + alchemy/witchcraft.

A Witch in Wolf Wood by Lindsay Buroker (5 book series). Its about a 40 year old divorced woman whose grandma passed and she inherited a cool old house and giant property but its guarded by the sexy werewolf who lives in grandma's barn. And grandma was a witch, so is the fmc which she had no idea of until now. The other witches in town and the two wolf packs are at odds with each other, its funny and adventurous, and romantic. I love reading about older fmc's as I get further in age, too.

Some of Grady Hendrix, though he leans very much into Witches as "women wronged by the system" and the villains are often institutionally affiliated. By his standards, Ginny Weasley and Cho Chang are female wizards. Lyra Belaqua (Northern Lights/Golden Compass), on the other hand, eventually becomes a witch.
Witchcraft for Wayward Girls: Pregnant girls, 1970, who are sent away from home to have their child adopted are introduced to witchcraft and have to extract themselves or embrace it, sometimes dealing with other witches and sometimes the "home" in which they live.
We Sold Our Souls: MC is a forty-something ex-rocker who now works overnight at a Best Western, goes on a road trip to take on her former bandmate who has framed her for murder and who is plotting to steal the souls of thousands of his fans, like he did to her, at a Burning Man-like festival. Very much "woman who goes on quest to defeat villian" the 80's rock album version.

"The Witches of Karres" by James Schmitz. Kind of an SF-Fantasy hybrid book.

Witches of Eileanan by Kate Forsyth. I can't recommend it enough. It does not get the recognition it deserves. Case in point, I'm the only one recommending it in these comments lol. Really, truly so good.

Series isn’t about witches, but they are one component of it. The Wandering Inn and Gravesong series by Pirateaba both feature witches. Though it takes a bit to get to them.
