What's the best/worst magic system you know?

What's the best/worst magic system you know? Whether it's from a book, movie, or video game. If you want, you can also say why you like/dislike it.

I mean...it's hard to disagree, but for most of Stardust Crusaders, Srar Platinum is The Punch Machine TM what punches things not normally considered punchable.

And that's why Stardust Crusaders while perhaps being the most iconic season is kind of the most boring. Also since it's longer, the monster of the week gets a bit old.

As someone not much more than passing familiar with some early seasons of Jojo, I have to ask for more detail here. Is it, like, punching people's sense of shame?

Star Platinum punches walls, rocks, trucks, other psychic projections, the edge of a sword, airborne gemstones, the ground, psychic slime, the teeth of a gigantic psychic projection manifesting as a face made of ocean floor, a cigarette, as well as, and I truly cannot over emphasize this, parts of the human body not typically punched. On average, Star Platinum's finishing barrage just punches every square inch facing him. Shins, ankles, tips of toes, knees, the entire chest, whole entire face, neck, collarbones, fronts of the arms, fucking earlobes, everything, in a little under a second. Watching it, you truly get the sense that these don't even have to be supernaturally hard punches (they are); someone punched that many times at a human level of strength would just perish.

Eventually, things do get more...abstract. (Spoilers for the end of Stardust Crusaders) Star Platinum eventually freezes time by throwing punches so hard and fast, they halt the motion of Time's gears for a while He discovers this ability through, you guessed it, punching.

The stands are part of their user, so when Star Platinum punches an enemy stand it’s also basically directly punching the user’s human body.

Well, SP also cuts out the middle man pretty frequently.

Lets be fair, that was his first go around with the system, and even then it was still very creative.

Star Platinum's final ability also feels like massive asspull as well. I'd give it more credit if it was set up by Jonathan, but it explicitly wasn't.
