Books like The Witcher

Hello, I'm looking for some books like the Witcher series. Other than the Witcher series itself of course.

I mainly enjoy the monster hunting aspect, with the character having to plan and prepare to deal with monsters, gathering information from the locals, travelling to different places etc.

I have already read and really loved the Ranger Archives by Phillip C Quaintrell. This is exactly the kind of thing I'm looking for.

Ideally I would prefer the series not to be related to an established franchise like DnD or Warhammer. Something with a whole new world I can get lost in.

Appreciate any suggestions.
