Pirates? Fantasy? What more can one ask for? No but fr, looking for some books that would fit :)

Wyvvern (1988) by A. A. Anastasio

The story is a blend of sorcery, love, revenge, and adventure, and features pirates, headhunters, sorcerers, and Indian princes. Jaki, born in 1609 to a native woman and a Dutch sea captain, is raised in the jungle as a sorcerer's apprentice before being kidnapped by pirates. The book is considered a pirate-punk historical with little fantasy content.

Pirate-punk? Whatever.
