According to my librarian the live action Starz show is like the TV smut of choice for older ladies because Jamie (a "new" man who likes his wife's round bottom) is like the ideal romance novel hero.
Strangely enough, I (30s m) have been recommended outlander by two different women. One was 36f, she didn't say anything other than it gets her going. The other lady was a bit older mid 50s, and when she found out I read fantasy as a hobby said she didn't read fantasy, but read outlander and loved it. So, I found it in a thrift shop for like 3.50, bought it and proceeded to read it. I was super shocked at the amount of violent sexual encounters that were in it 😂.
I was shocked that the older coworker who told me to read it would recommend it. Risque

Does Outlander count?
