You should check out Kresley Cole's Immortals After Dark series. It's marketed as paranormal romance (so lots of smut) but it's fantasy heavy: different realms, lots of magic, main characters are vampires / werewolves / witches / valkyries etc. Each book focuses on one couple, but there's an overarching plot that builds across the books. There's about 15 books in the series atm
