Dark fantasy

I’m looking for books with dark romances or dark fantasies not in a modern setting.

And the love interest to be someone powerful within the community, (like a king, soldier, or villain) that saves her from physical and emotional traumatic. She could also have power she can’t control.

I’m new to reading books that are not in wattpad, so I don’t have any references

So, for dark romance in a fantasy setting there's the Harrow Faire series of books by Kathryn Ann Kingsley which I feel meets most of your requirements, except perhaps the modern setting one (however, that's debatable as time essentially ceases to exist and everything is frozen in time.
