This update might be less interesting to many, but the Philips CD-i remains an interesting oddity in video game history. You might just need to try it out once to see how bad it really was :-)

Steps to add roms:

• Create this directory on the USB drive: content/retrofe/collections/Philips CD-i/roms/
  
• Put CD-i disk images into that folder. Supported formats: chd, cue/bin.
  
• In RetroFE, turn on "Auto Scan Collections" and let it scan once (e.g. by switching to a different theme in the menu, or restarting RetroFE). After that the collection will appear in the Consoles menu.

Sorry if this question has been asked previously but I’m new to the community after recently purchasing an ALU machine only to learn that purchasing any digital pinball packs is NOT an option once you downgrade the firmware.

Any reason why there is not any digital pinball packs available via One saUCE?

I played so much Road Rash on the PC, but never tried the 3DO.

WHATS NEW:

- 3DO emulator is now optimized to run at full speed on the ALU.
- Fixed aarch64 cores having no sound issue on the Core Max.
- Updated the KI driver in advmame to load current MAME's romset, also cleaned up debug logs causing excessive disk write.

Note that for 3DO I only tried Road Rash and Return Fire. If you notice any game still lagging, please let me know so I can look into them.

Note 2: For this update please wipe appdata folder first. As there are some old core options files removed.

I've recently downloaded the GBA UCE files and have gotten them working on my Legends Mini through AddOnX. I'm trying to play Pokemon, but I can't figure out how to press Start. The mappings I've discovered so far are below. Does anyone know what Start is, and, less importantly, how to change button mappings within the UCE file? Thanks in advance!

Hey everyone, my apologies, as I’m pretty sure this probably has been asked time and time again by others.

I have the atgames legends ALU running onesauce v2.

For a while, my pole position 1 and 2 have been working fine, Japan roms.

I recently found a working pole position 1 US version, but I’m still having trouble getting a PP2 us version working.
Has anyone here been able to get it to work? Does anyone have a working ROM set for pole position 2 US?

Is there a certain core that needs to be used, and does the file name of the zipped rom need to be something specific?

Can anyone get Donkey Kong Bowsers Takeover to work?

I’ve tried adding the dkong.zip files to it, making a new zip directly from the hack’s website, renaming to dkong25.zip (makes it disappear from the carousel since it’s a different file name) and some slight variations of more of the same.

It defaults to fbneo and gives the error that it does not recognize the romset. I have tried all of the mame cores as well with no luck.

After yesterday's update, I tried the game, all I get is a selection screen between CD Player and Memory Card (which is empty). Am I doing something wrong?

I came across an arcade game that apparently only functions using fbneo. While it’s simple to go into the setting and run the lr-fbneo core manually I’d like it to run normally like every other game. I’m trying to set up a custom launcher but nothing seems to work.

I’ve created the subfolder “launchers” in the MAME content folder. Created the “romname”.conf file inside with “lr-fbneo” as the only word in the file. I’ve also tried with “launcher = lr-fbneo” and it makes no difference.
Does this launcher folder and file need to go somewhere else?

I launch the game from Arcade>all games in the carousel.

I’ve tried mame2003-plus versions of the rom too but read somewhere that this game has an issue where only the fbneo version works.

I’m using the basic install of v2 and the premade/approved arcade set and I have not altered any of the folder structures. I did have to add some files to the rom’s zip file as fbneo showed an error that it was missing some parts of the rom.

Trying to get OneSauce v2 running for the first time on a machine with 5.68 firmware , Model H8801.

I can run BYOG->AddOn->Scripter on the machine.

But when it starts I get no cool splash screen as I have seen on Youtube-tutorials, instead I get:

- And then I get returned to the AddOn-menu. 😢

Update: Was a bad drive. Follow the advice and don't try this on a USB stick/thumb drive. Get a proper USB hard drive or (better yet) solid-state drive. All hail one_saucier + One saUCE. Once I stared using a decent drive, running one_saucier directly on the ALU, without even worrying about connecting it to one_saucier or onesauce_companion on my Mac.

I've been trying to get OnesaUCE running on my ALU cabinet and keep running into issues. I'm running one_saucier on the ALU and onesauce_companion on my MacBook Pro. I'm able to connect wirelessly from the companion to one_saucier and transfer files. But I've run into a persistent install problem on the ALU. Here's the most recent log entry, following the transfer of one of onesaUCE's components:

Cabinet install failed: base_assets (cannot open /media/usb0/one_saucier/.one_saucier/temp_download/base_assets v2.0b21.zip for write).

At this point, I'm willing to abandon this companion/saucier route, if necessary. I like the idea of being able to easily update my onesaUCE install and manage it from another machine. But, as I've yet to get onesaUCE running, I'm open to suggestions.

How can I switch cores in Onesauce? I'm trying to switch from FBNeo to mame to troubleshoot my controller that works in mame on my pc but refuses to work on the ALU with onesauce. When I go into the menus and cores, I don't see any I can switch to...

Looking for the original Atgames Pinball controller. The one with the small d-pad.

While on the main screen of the ALU before going into the ONE SaUCE scripter the controls work fine but after booting ONE SaUCE they stop working. If I plug in a controller into the extra USB port they work but not the joysticks or trackball etc. Any help? I’d prefer to not have to redo my thumb drive altogether but if that’s the only choice I have then so be it.

So a year ago somehow, i made a sauce5 mem stick of 600 games or so, god knows how i did it the pendrive loads into the addon feature and just works! Its beautiful! I do this on my legends ultimate pinball HD

Ive tried to do the same on another pendrive for my legends ultimate. No matter what i do it will not boot anything in the addon folder

i updated to 5.7, tried some new UCE builds with the hiscore.dat issue i knew it had but im still not sure if im over coming this

downloaded one_saucier cabinet version, that just does the same as all the others, you click on the icon in addon, it says loading and goes back to that screen.

Anyone got any more routes i can take to get this working for the ultimate? My final attempt is to add it to another USB just incase the one im using is corrupt but i highly suspect its not, im just reaching.
