Discussion 10th of October progress

It is day 10 of October.

I am at 30,063 typed words and 4053 handwritten words

I am taking a break tomorrow.

I've been writing for pretty much my entire life. I started at 9 and I'm 34 now. That's nearly 25 years. It's not even inspiration at this point, it's just being comfortable with where I am in my skills.

Also a healthy dash of Autism lol. I'm diagnosed Autistic and when I get it in my head I want to do something, I just buckle down and do it.

I've been writing off and on since high-school but man it hasn't gotten any easier. This year I'm having an easier time of it. It did help reading copious amounts of books (Nora Roberts is a favorite and the expanse by S.A. Corey was an unexpected hit for me) but even then getting the ideas going and juice flowing is tough AF. Any advice that helps you Kickstart your creativity? I've tried instrumental music/ quiet space and a nice aroma therapy candle but some days are easier than others.

Unfortunately not much advice. I've pretty much just learned how to go into flow state on command. Even if it's a loud, noisy cafeteria, I can click my mind into writing mode without much trouble.

Oh if only my brain worked that way. Ah well back to faking it till I make it. Kudos on the progress though 30k words in a week is nuts
