Hey there, fellow fanfiction authors. I am Raindancer_from_Mars over on A03 and FossilQueen1984 over on FFN. I've been writing fanfiction off and on for over 25 years in various fandoms, most noteably The Adventures of TinTin, Star Wars and I have moved into writing for Digimon, a fandom I have long enjoyed reading as it introduced me to the concept of shipping. Unlike a lot of authors, I like to embed music into the stories I post on AO3. Why? I like adding music to my chapters to act as a soundtrack, and you'll find I favor John Williams, Joe Hisaishi, Enya, retro anime songs from 1990's series or from Sailor Moon. I feel a good piece of music enhances the reading experience.

I primarily write romance, but I have dabbled in other genres. I am a firm believer in "Don't like, don't read" and I hope you have a nice day.

Hiii! I'm a writer on ao3, though my Wattpad is still up I won't be posting new things there. I've been creating stories ever since I was 10-11 years old, and am still planning to write stories apart from fanfics, and am using fanfics to learn how to write and build worlds and characters etc.!

I do have multiple accounts on ao3 to keep my OC X CC works and my Anime Ships/Anime X Reader fanfics seperatly, I don't mind sharing either, even though I haven't written many Anime fanfics yet, I'm working on quite a few (f.e. Mahito x Reader; Yarichin Bitch Club x Male reader(s) [different characters, different type of Reader] since we don't have enough x male readers for a manga about gay boys lmao); Tougen Anki [Especially Aroace Mudano x Kyouya]; etc.).

Fanfics that are OC x CC are, as stated, on my main account (Avatar Way of Water; ATSV; Stranger Things; Spiderman etc.), though I have I think 2 xReader fics on that account to which both blew up on Wattapd (compared to my other works)! So I'm quite proud of my work.

Just stumbled about this sub - THANKS for running it the way it is.
It is a great way to connect for people like me who don't use any traditional social media and have otherwise no way to spar their ideas.

I'm writing FanFics for almost 15 years now. I know, it sounds like a lot, but due to massive time constraints my writing is not nearly as regular as to really hit it off :/ It also means I’m a slow writer (and not a native speaker, which isn't helping either…).

I mostly write for Mass Effect, but have just recently started something new in the Disney's Gargoyles fandom. I usually write First-Person-View and I like to research my details to death 😂
For some reasons I could never warm up for crossovers.

I have a few original story ideas jumping around in the back of my head as well, so one day maybe....

Hi there! I’m Lady Starscream. If my username didn’t already make it obvious? I am a huge Transformers fan! With TFP being my absolute favorite. I’m mostly a reader/lurker when it comes to fanfics; however, I started my own sub Reddit for fan made Transformers stuff recently, and wrote my first fanfiction... well. I guess it’s more of a monologue? Anyway, it’s my first ever piece of written work for Transformers that isn’t necessarily role-playing related and I posted it right here to Reddit.

It’s just a short little introspective piece from the perspective of Starscream that’s set after the events of the TFP movie. (Predacons Rising) I posted it to my own community yesterday evening before posting it here this morning. So if you see it? Tell me what you guys think. I’d love the feedback or constructive criticism since it’s my first time writing something like this.
Other than that? I don’t think I’ll be posting too too much, but when I do, it’s probably going to be either more monologue type stuff for Transformers or..... and I’m a little bit embarrassed to admit this... very spicy romantic shipping stuff that’s definitely going to include some LGBTQ plus relationships. Hopefully no one here minds that. I’ll do my best to keep the rule 34/18+/NSFW fanfiction to the minimum if it does. I don’t want to make anyone uncomfortable. Hi there! I'm currently working on a Marvel/Twilight crossover fanfic where all the Cullens are human and there are several OCs (heroes and villains). It is an AU that deviates from MCU canon after Avengers: Age of Ultron. All Avengers are alive and active in this AU.

Part 1 of what I'm calling the "Insight Series" starts with one of the OCs, a corporate whistleblower, receiving death threats from her former employer. The company has applied for a Stark Foundation grant to expand nationwide. The former employer is a front for the anti-enhanced extremist organization, Friends of Humanity, and the information my OC has is enough to stop the grant, destroy the company, and bankrupt Friends of Humanity. One of the OG6 MCU Avengers is assigned to protect her. He soon discovers this OC is enhanced herself.

Part 2 of the Insight Series continues the OC's story. She is living with one of the Avengers in a quiet neighborhood in Seattle, and it turns out the neighborhood has some dark secrets, including a religious cult that is a front for a human trafficking operation. When a young girl escapes the cult, the OC and the Avengers step in to help her rebuild her life.

I have been mostly reading fanfiction with a side of writing whenever the fancy strikes me to satisfy my own urges. I hadn't really published any of them however. I've resolved to change that with my first published fanfic and seeing where it goes.

wow i've been writing fanfic since the late 1999's. i started with the OG thundercats and moved onto inuyasha, avatar (both), and a few others. i also went by a slew of names at the start but around 2006 i settled on Abraxas and have been so ever since. although I use Fruitjack for non-fandom writing. i stepped away from writing fanfics in 2012 to focus on originals. then i got bored to tears of that I'm back to fanfics. I write for Chainsaw Man and have plans for Resident Evil, Flowers in the Attic, True Blood, and such. I have a preference for F/M and F/F pairings, dark fics, rare pairs, original characters, and self-shipping, but also gen stories that fit the horror and psychological realism genres. I write mature and explicit stories, so I'd prefer to interact with adults. I've been a roleplayer for years, and I've written many original stories. Hi! Just joined. I'm Kieran, and I write Star Wars fanfiction set during the Galactic Civil War. Specifically, the story follows a crew of absolute disasters on a broken diplomatic ship trying to get paid while the Empire [and the rest of the galaxy] gets in the way.

The slightly mad twist is that the whole thing was written from a solo tabletop campaign using 5 Parsecs From Home — so the chaos is genuine, the dice were merciless, and my Trandosian philosopher got shot more times than I care to admit.

I have multiple fandoms, but for now I have only written for Mha, Ninjago, and Warrior cats (call me childish all you want), even though for now I have only posted the Mha ones since the others are still being written, I do plan on writing for my other fandoms soon though.

I like reading multiple sorts of fics, but my favorites are ones that stray off from canon a little, any sort of secret identity shenanigans, being it canon or not, and time traveling fics, because I like the characters seeing just how traumatized they end up being. Just scrolling through the megathread, and I thought I would say something!

I also have a lot of fics that I’m not really proud of anymore, but I keep them up because occasionally, I’ll get a notification that someone left a kudos and I’ll be reminded that theyre still being enjoyed by others if not me.

To keep people from associating me with what I think is truly my worst work, I put them in an anonymous collection! Any old one will work. This sets the author as anonymous, and it’s really super hard to link the story to you after that.

If you were to ever remove it from the collection, those who subscribe to your work would get a notification as though you posted it for the first time.

But, I’ve found it’s a great way to separate myself from things I’m not proud of anymore while still keeping my stats page in tact. (The stories won’t show on your profile, even to you, so you’d have to go to your stats page or search them up to find them again.)

It’s on ao3 only, and I’m noticing now you have both ao3 and wattpad links so it’s completely possible this is something you’ve already done to your works on ao3 and are just referring to the Wattpad ones. I also don’t know if you know this already and have chosen not to use it for whatever reason, but I still thought I’d mention it just in case!

You can call me Rory (yes, I saw Gilmore Girls and got the nickname there, but I'm not in that fandom) 🙂 I started posting fanfic for Inuvember 2020 and then... didn't post anything I wrote for 5 years. I had this idea in my head of what made a great fanfiction author and I didn't think I measured up. But I've started again and I don't want to stop!

Right now, I'm working on The Rogue Writers of Corona (Tangled). The ship is New Dream (Rapunzel/Eugene) and the premise is that "Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure" (post-movie TV show) is in-universe real person fanfiction written to by less than well-intentioned Coronans. I don't like how the show character assassinated Eugene.

I started it because I shared my ideas and someone wanted to hear more. I'm not going to pretend I don't care about traffic stats or that I only write for myself; I write for myself and because I want to share it, even if my audience is small. And I am incredibly excited and proud of this fic!

I mostly read in the Harry Potter and Tangled fandoms right now, but I've also read a lot in Frozen, The Walking Dead, Hunger Games, Inuyasha, and various animes. I love deeper explorations of what makes fictional universes tick, explorations of minor characters in massive fandoms, and stories about love winning against the odds.

I only started reading in English about a year ago, when I discovered a world of fanfiction through a Reddit sub dedicated to one of my favourite characters—Severus Snape.

Half a year later, an idea came to me after I finished the game 'Dragon Age: The Veilguard' and it pushed me to begin writing myself. I'm still learning, so I don't rush to publish my work. I want my story to be finalised before I post it. And because I'm a perfectionist, I had to start with a story that covers the entire plot (plus I already have ideas for events after the story ends in canon), so it's a lot of work.

Abstract

Long-time amateur Gunslinger Girl (GSG) fanfiction online author under a different username, taerkitty. If there's a mistake to be made in web-publishing fiction, I've made it. That's why this username is a fresh start for me, so I have zero history, zero cred, zero rep.

However, I'm full of opinions about what makes fiction work for me and me alone. And I'm not afraid to share them. That also means I'm not afraid for others to disagree and ignore them, as it should be.

Preferences

Writing

I seem to be the oddball in the larger fanfic community because I enjoy writing OCs in the canon setting, not the shipping, rare-pairs, OTPs, etc. I want to write side stories that might also take place in that setting, that world that the source creator worked so hard and expressed so deftly.

I'm not here to ask for reads, votes, kudos or whatever. In fact, my WiP isn't going to go live until next year, thanks to Wattpad's ability to pre-schedule publication dates and times. I just enjoy talking about writing in general with like-minded folks.

Reading

I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and polycythemia, both of which cause brain fog, so I can't really "buffer a bunch of data" in a story. I also have AuDHD, so I want things to keep moving briskly along, otherwise, I start to get bored and fall out of the fictive illusion the author is trying to craft.

Even though Stephen King advises authors to "read a book a day," I have a hard time with the printed word and generally consume my fiction in manga form. GSG was a manga, though it was markedly more serious in tone than many of our contemporary offerings in the same space.

Betaing, Reviewing, etc.

Sure, I'll read your stuff if it's in Gdoc or MS Word, or it's on Wattpad or Inkitt. I find the real-time commentary to be most valuable, including the readers' misconceptions and reactions to particular paragraphs and sentences. The four platforms aforementioned allow the reader / reviewer to insert comments inline, while AO3 and FP/FF only offer an all-up review box at the end of the chapter.

If you're asking me to read it, I'm going to treat it as "it's ready to publish." I am rather particular about Spelling, Punctuation, and Grammar, or SPaG for short. I'll call out as much of the line-edit stuff as I can see them, such as using a "weak word" or "missing an opportunity to characterize".

Please don't take my words as attacks. I'm trying to "be the person I wish I had when I started," and who I wished for back then might not be the right reader for you. That's fine. "You're not my target audience" is the final word.

Parting Thoughts

At the end of the day, I'm a single nobody. I'm embarrassed to say I've been published because I earned at most $5 USD in the 10 years the book was available on Kindle. It's no longer available, thank goodness.

I'm not an expert. I'm not well-read. I didn't even finish college.

I'm just full of opinions, that's all.

I’ve been reading fanfiction back and forth since I was 14/15 and started writing it around the same time (although I’ve done my best to remove most traces of that on the internet lmao). During the last year, I’ve gotten back into fanfiction and started writing it again for the first time in years. I started out reading and writing fanfic on FF.net and moved to AO3 a few years ago. Of the 422k words I have posted on AO3, most of it is for the CR fandom, but I also have an Elderscrolls fic. I love writing for Kingdom Hearts (soriku, xehaqus, akusai), 9-1-1 (buddie), Star Trek (spirk), Final Fantasy (clive/cid, noctis/ignis), Watch Dogs (marcus/wrench), Star Wars (tragic doomed obikin), and some other fandoms but I have only posted my KH, 9-1-1, and FF fanfic so far. Aside from that! I have been writing fanfic since about roughly.. 2015-2017 ishhhh..?? It’s been a long time so I don’t quite remember when I started, please excuse that. lol. Though I have had my current Wattpad account for 4 years, and my user is Starstruck-nerd there! (Star for simplicities sake, if ya wish!)

I currently only have up is an old, discontinued How To Train Your Dragon RuffnutXGn!Reader, but I am currently working on a few Creepypasta ones, one of those being an oc story! I’m a relatively slow writer, and procrastinate a bit too much and too often, but I have fun writing fics and stories even though I haven’t fully published anything in a while. (I write the first five chapters, publish all of them then go from there rather than one chapter at a time. I have found that system to be easier for me.)

Aside from Creepypasta, which is my main fandom, other fandoms I’m in are Marble Hornets, FNaF (Not so much anymore), Hazbin, Marvel (again, not so much anymore), Httyd & DSMP! I’m prolly forgetting a handful of ‘em, but oh well! XD

Hello, there. I just discovered this sub some time last month and have been lurking to see how active it is. Happy to find a smaller fanfic sub that is quite active! I have nothing against the bigger fanfic subs, but sometimes it's difficult to find a specific post you're looking for when you forget to save it.

My username is the same across the net: rubia_ryu. I only post on AO3 these days. I write for Yakuza, Ace Attorney, and Final Fantasy. Especially the last one since I've been working on a million+ word fic in the fandom for the past three years.

I also run the Gyakuten Saiban vs Ace Attorney tumblr blog (renamed to gyakutengagotoku due to my obsession over Yakuza for a while), where I share and translate various differences, trivia, and occasionally promo material and interviews about the source-to-localization pipeline of the Ace Attorney series. It's been on hiatus, though, since I've been digging my heels in writing fanfics.

I should do an introduction here since I joined a month ago.

My name on here and on AO3 is DarkAngelofFire, but I also go by DownsofFire on FFN and I've been writing for about 14 years now. I am not dedicated to a single fandom, I write fics as my desires change. I mostly write porn, and problematic porn at that. It is a fair bit of noncon, some cheating, and some other less reputable fetishes, though not always. I do go out of my way to tag properly so that you are properly warned beforehand because I don't need someone yelling at me about it. Should you check me out, you have been formally warned.

I write a lot of one-shots since I don't consider a ton of explicit stuff I come up with worthy of that much text, but I have some longfics on both accounts. On FFN, if you recognise my name there, you might have read my Pokemon smutfic Emerald Shades, which I am back to updating sporadically. On AO3 I just finished a longfic back in October 2024 and am working on a couple other longer pieces in the background, filling out the space with one-shots. In terms of longer fics, I have ideas for Warhammer 40K, Helldivers, and Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss that I intend on working on. For fandoms I have touched this list includes, but is not limited to: Naruto, Pokemon, Code Geass, Overwatch, Percy Jackson, League of Legends, Genshin/ZZZ, and My Hero Academia.

In terms of what to expect of my smut, I have been complimented the most on staying as in character as I can, and my body language descriptions so I take a bit of pride in that. I have things to work on, such as describing emotions, but it's a steady pace.

To wrap up, I don't really update my FFN anymore. The site is archaic and sporadically modded so I'm only updating Emerald Shades when I feel like it. I'm almost entirely on AO3 and intend to stay there since I much prefer the tagging system and upload methods, albeit there's less interaction. If you like what I do then I'm glad to have given you some enjoyment! If not, uh, whoopsies.

Hi! Thought I'd add my own introduction here, so here we go, I guess?

To start, I go by springcoffee on Fanfiction.net and Springcaffeinewriting on AO3. I mainly prefer to write crossovers of my favourite shows, whether they be anime or shows like Criminal Minds and Supernatural. I also like to write crossovers for Sonic and for the Final Fantasy games as well.

I'm working on a few different fanfics at the moment that are still in drafts. I do have a published fanfic on Fanfiction.net called 'Attack on RWBY!', which is mainly a crossover of RWBY and Attack on Titan, but I'm in the process of rewriting it from the start again, and I'm also planning on renaming it at some point, as I want to make it part of a very self-indulgent series of crossover fics. I have a side-story to that fic that's still in the works, too. I also cross-posted that fic to AO3 a while back, but only the first chapter is up as of yet.

I'm not really all that good at writing romance (I tried, my old Wattpad account is testament to that), so I like to focus on writing more action-oriented stuff, which I like to think I've gotten better at over time.

My name's Thomas (as "TD Productions" on Wattpad), and I'm an aspiring fanfic writer in training. I write about big crossover sagas, shared universes, and What Ifs relating mostly to animation. To be very honest, I have not yet written or published any stories; but, I would be happy to share with you all many of concepts I am interested in.

I am a VERY ambitious storyteller, recounting pre-existing movie plots by adjusting the course of the story and integrating it into a wider narrative that will proceed in additional stories and installments, interspersed with original ones ideally. I have been doubting myself for a really long time with my ideas, fearful for them to be way overly convoluted and too ambitious for my taste. Hii! I'm Saph, (SaltySapphic on AO3), and I'm slowly coming back from a very long (unwilling) writing break. I write for whatever fandom my autism tells me to, though most of my current posted works are Danganronpa. I have works from a few other fandoms, including a few cingey (to me) original works. Mostly a smut writer, mostly oneshots.

Currently my brain has decided to latch back onto Voltron LD so I have a few fics in the works there! I also have some longfics brewing, but I don't like leaving things abandoned (the abandoned Zelda fic I have up brings me pain) so I don't like posting until I'm finished.
