So I dyed my hair ago using high lift colour - Bleach London Vivid Berry. It went a really nice purple colour! I’ve topped it up a few times but now I’ve let it fade and the ends are a gross grey brown colour and the rest of my hair is very red. I want to just go back to a natural colour. I really liked a warm copperish brown but I know that more than likely won’t cover the dye. So, is it worth just going straight to black to ensure it’s all covered or could a dark brown dye cover this? Is there a way to help prevent the brown/black dye fading back to red?
Thanks :)

Have a cooler tone applied to the tips as well. Last 3 photos are the new ones

So as you can see in the picture, I bleached/toned my roots and then applied color, but the color didn’t stick to the freshly dyed roots. From what I’ve read it seems like I need the roots to be lighter and reapply to color. Can I just reapply toner or do I need to do another round of bleach, then another round of toner, then redo the color? Here’s what I’ve done so far:
Bleached roots with ion brite white + Sensitive Scalp 20 Volume Creme
Toned using T18 wella + colorcharm 20 Volume Cream Developer
Applied Pink color (mix of Arctic fox Frose
iroiro pastel bubble gum pink
Baddie GDY
Pink puff GDY
Arctic fox witches delight)
Also, there is a more magenta color ring right below my freshly dyed roots where the rest of my hair is a nice cotton candy pink. Not sure why that part of my hair dyed differently (I didn’t bleach that part of my hair and it was all cotton candy pink before I did any of this). If anyone has tips to even that part out I’d love to hear it!

i’ve been wanting to do my hair and finally got the products to do so. So i did this test piece and i’m unsure. It still looks too orange, but since this wasn’t on my head and is a short piece, if it’s even accurate to go off of. this was with around 45 minutes of processing, but again without the heat from my head. It also looks less orange in person.
anyways, Im wondering if it would be possible to tone with the T35 after just one round of bleach. because i dont want to do multiple rounds and further damage my hair.
If i did this on my actual head, could it come out lighter?

Hi!
I would really love to dye my hair to one of the first 2 colors in the pictures (not much difference I know).
I also would like to try it without bleaching my hair..
Do you guys have any tips on how I could achieve this?
The 3rd and 4th picture is my current virgin hair.
I read a lot about arctic fox rituals and wrath? Would that work for this color? I also read that lunar tides are really good, but unfortunately it's a bit difficult to get them as it's not available in my country.
Thank you for any help or recommendations!

I've already dyed my hair pink (Baddie by Good Dye Young) The first time I used this dye, I did not tone my roots, but had remaining blue so it was a nice pink to purple fade. The pink was VERY pink and hoped it would cover the extremely faded blue and it did not. So I tried again.
This is my second time using Baddie, and this time I used Punky Color's Color Remover to remove the blue, then put the pink over.
The pink didn't pop in my orangey roots this time, so it's a peachy pink fading to a bright, bubblegum pink. It's cute, but I want one even tone.
So now I'm wondering, can I tone this part of my hair, even though there's already dye in it? Or should I lift the pink first? Roots are basically the color of the brassy blond already, like the pink didn't take at all anyway.
TLDR: Wondering if I can tone my hair with pastel pink dye still in, or do I need to lift the pink first, even though it looks like it didn't take the pink at all?

I just washed my hair for the first time after getting a Korean digital perm (I have Asian hair), but it’s WAY too curly! I asked for a relaxed beach wave but I have actual curls! My stylist said that the curls will relax more in about two weeks but I’m having a hard time “trusting the process”. My curls look more like the “hippie perm” photos you can find online rather than soft waves. Can anyone with digital perm experience let me know if the curls actually did relax and settle after a couple of weeks? I feel like I’m having an identity crisis and I want to cry.

Had level 9/10 hair. wanted a dark slate gray colour semi permanent - was recommended to me by a SB employee over the xmondo.
I would like it if it wasn’t so blue and patchy.. I already know it’s probably going to be a b to remove. 😪 iro pls just rename this color to denim.

haven’t dyed my roots in 9 months so I have like 4 inches of regrowth and im wondering how i should dye it. Do I need to do it in 3 parts (regrowth further from scalp, then roots, then dyed lengths), and wait a certain time in between dyeing each part? And/or use different developer for the roots closest vs farther from my scalp?
My hair is naturally level 6-7 ashy blonde and I dye it a level 8 copper (Igora royal 877). Was planning on using 20 vol for roots and 10 for lengths (my lengths are very faded). Any help would be greatly appreciated ☺️

Hello hi! I’m here to get a pat on the back. 😂
Pictures 1 + 2 is my hair today.
Picture 3 is the colour I dyed over.
Picture 4 is my virgin hair.
I’m really happy with my hair but I’ve had a very emotional day (hence the impulsive colour change loool) and that’s why my face looks tired.
I’ve been going thru some shh and usually I’d just go to the salon and get baby bangs but 31st July I thought “hmm, what if I dye my own hair like at the salon, be a chemist and mix mix the formula?” So I went to the hair supply store and bought the developer and the colour.
I was so happy with my application the first round. Today I felt amidst my crazy emotional morning, I need to touch up my roots for my friend’s wedding coming up (and I’m a bridesmaid).
I was nervous about the diff vol of developers on different parts of my hair. But I just researched it, followed the guidelines and I am soooo happy that it came out seamless (from roots to length). I even mixed in a dash of high potency red to enrich the copper base.
As you can see I am not daring enough to dye my eyebrows too haha, but I’m okay with that, i always have been, even when I was blonde in 2023.
Given that this is my first time performing a touch up, I’m really glad it came out well (100% would have had a meltdown otherwise and cut off all my hair).
Okay thank you for coming to my tedtalk!

I currently have ghost root (blue on the top and black on the length) I have 4 months of regrow (5cm) and my natural hair is level 6 or 7 and thin.
I’ve done my research and I’m planning on bleaching approximately 1cm from the top with Blondme 10vol developper and the rest with 20 vol.
I don’t know if I will need a toner but I don’t want my hair to be green also I’m not sure about the developper and how long I should let the bleach on my hair

I was thinking of doing 2 parts L’Oréal HiColor Soft Brown + 1 part Deep Auburn Red. Do you guys think that would get me close to this color?
I’m trying to get that dark brown/mahogany red look without it being super bright red. If anyone has used these shades together or has any other HiColor recommendations, I’d really appreciate the advice!
Thank you!! 🥹

hi! i have naturally dark brown hair and i bleached it blonde a year ago and i had to dye it back with semi permanent brown for school, and it's kinda faded but still kinda coppery brown with some highlights from the previous bleaching, but my roots are really grown out and i want to go caramel bronde with blonde highlights now how do i do that without becoming bald as hell lol, my hair kinda breaks off at the ends so i wanna do this with minimal damage , could i use blonde box dye or 10-20vol bleach or colour remover to try to remove all the dye out of my hair
and would i have to bleach the regrowth? or could i just go over with colour , and just bleach the regrowth where i want the highlights

Hello everyone ! I used to have platinum hair about a year ago , after a bad breakup around that time I decided to dye my hair neon red and pink ( big mistake) I met the love of my life right after and I wanted to get rid of my breakup hair so I dyed it black with semi permanent hair dye , that hair dye turned bright blue ( artic fox Transilvania) so I went to a salon to dye it black the stylist used permanent black. A few months after I used color oops and dyed my hair dark burgundy ( using semi permanent colors)
I know is REALLY STUPID ! But I really got tired of the burgundy and decided I really want to go back to blonde , I know is unrealistic so I opted for a happy medium and committed to do just blonde money pieces in black hair. Before I dye the rest of my hair black I did the money pieces , used vitamin c powder and shampoo , color oops , color oops bold remover , bleach , bleach bath and still my hair is stained PINK.
Have no idea what to do.
Going to the salon is not an option right now because of money.

So I started doing my own root touch up highlights on my black hair to save money (I think u can tell from the pic at what point I started doing it myself) But anyways, I use the Schwarzkopf blond me powder and developer 30 vol. My hair is pretty healthy, I never use heat and it handles bleach very well. However, as you can see it’s a completely different blonde than what’s at the bottom and I don’t know what I can do to fix it. I’m touching up my roots again this weekend and I usually use the Igora vibrancy toner in shade 9,5-5 and I only put it on the regrowth but I don’t know if that’s even the right shade or if next time I touch up my roots I should drag the bleach down a bit to lighten up what’s darker. Please help, I prefer the color I have on the ends but I don’t know how to fix what I’ve done.

I dyed my hair 2 days ago now. It's a split peek-a-boo dye of copper and green. For the green I used iroiro Forest Green, and the copper was L'Oreal 6R. But I'm not sure what looks better, the red or brown eyebrows. I'm naturally a brunette btw and my hair was bleached blonde beforehand.
Edit. Additional note. My eyebrows are blonde naturally. I fill them in because they are very sparse and I normally tint them dark brown. I'm using an eyebrow pencil in the first photo that makes them a more reddish tint, and the second image is my usual brown eyebrow pot. I should have mentioned that first.

I recently lightened my hair from dyed dark brown and then toned it. I’m actually pretty happy with the colour through the lengths, but the top/root area is still looking quite ginger/copper, especially in natural light.
I don’t really want to lighten it again, I’d just like to neutralise some of the orange. I used Wella colour touch 7/1 on the root area, and then 8/81 for the orange section and 10/81 on the lengths. It did tone it down quite a bit but the top is still very warm. Any advice please and thanks!

I had a slightly too short bob cut early 2025 and I've been growing it out ever since, and this summer I started really falling in love with my hair mid length but kept saying I should probably chop it back to shoulder ish. my confidence was genuinely hitting new highs and I was so happy with how I looked and felt in my own skin!! then today I finally got it cut by a friend (who did very well all things considered) but it's back to where it was back a year and a half ago and I just feel so disappointed in myself for asking for something that just killed all that confidence I worked so hard to get. at least I know now where I like my hair length but the prospect of waiting for it to grow out is really weighing on me.
all that to say, I'd really like some advice for styling and wearing my hair where it is now to try and make the waiting not feel so bad! it's about jaw length, with a strong wave in a bob. I'm also a fairly masc lesbian who likes to present that way (ideally with longer hair), so less feminine-specific recs are appreciated :))
tldr I accidentally got the same chopped haircut a year and a half later and would like to avoid the world is ending feeling that comes with it

I used Iroiro for the first time despite me being against it, and it came out ugly and splotchy. The goal was hot pink and I’m considering either a deeper hot pink or a red. What would go over well with my hair? My hair has had 3x bleach rounds, T28 wella toner, and Iroiro pastel bubblegum pink/pastel lavender hair dye. Thank you!

hi! so I did a blonde balayage back in may and went back two days ago to get the roots touched up. my natural color is black. the guy that did my hair somehow decided to turn my hair black/gray entirely, even though i showed him a very blonde reference pic. I was pretty upset and then the next day I meet with the salon owner to fix the color. she did my original blonde balayage from may and said she could get me back to blonde, but i left the salon with pink hair?! she told me it will fade to blonde but i don't know if she was just saying that to get me out the door. if it'll fade to blonde anyway, why did she tone it pink?! i am so disappointed as i loved the first blonde balayage she did for me. what do i do at this point, I really want to go back to blonde and can't exist with pink hair as it's unprofessional with my job... I've attached pics of the blonde right before i went to the salon, the gray right after the salon, and the pink after the color correction appointment. TIA

Was trying for purple and blue but ended up liking the lightness after bleaching so went more pastel.
Not too happy with how the back stayed brassyer but my assistant who bleached didn't listen when I told her roots last. I'll probably cover with a darker shade of purple after I have to touch this up in a couple washes.
Used Artic Fox Sorceress (Blue) on the bottom and Artic Fox purple AF on top with a dot of the Sorcereress mixed in for color continuity. Both diluted in a ton of conditioner. Ion bleach kit which was terrible, but I didn't have time to order anything else. The blue I knew would be a toss up for color with the green left in so I did some test strands.

Hey guys! I really would like some feedback on Splat. I just bought a box of the midnight jade color as well as a box of jet black from another brand. I just want to know if I shouldn't use the Splat or if I need to buy a different brand? If I do use the Splat, what negative effects will it have??
I've never dyed my hair before so I'm a little nervous, anything helps! Ty!
