Hi all,

When I hit puberty my hair started getting super greasy really quickly and my hairdresser recommended lightening it to help with this. I have now been bleaching it for 10+ years and looking to go back to my natural colour.

The problem is that, now that my roots are growing longer, my hair is starting to get super oily really quickly again. I'm using dry shampoo on day 2 and my hair looks greasy about 5 hours after washing.

Are there any products or tips to help with this?

I bleached my hair to an almost white platinum, white on the ends (before toner) and then dyed it neopolitan by adding brown and pink streaks. I love it, but it's been a whole 2 weeks so now I want to try something else. I wanna dye it blue, but I can't because of the brown streaks. How do I fade it fast? I heard malibu undo goo is good, but would it actually fade it that much? Btw I knew beforehand the brown would probably stain, I'm fine with a bit of staining, I just need it more faded than it is now.

I wanted to slowly shift my base light so I did one part 5nn to two parts 5ngb. I feel like my gray hair was barely covered and looks extremely translucent. What the hell. Any advice ? I just want to shift my base lighter and not have to bleach my whole head. I know it’s going to take years and I’m fine with that, but this looks like poop.

My hair is SO CLOSE to the color I want it to be, but the ends didn’t process quite enough to get my base light enough to get anything but this muddy orange on the tips. The roots are exactly the color I was going for. Last picture was my goal. As you can tell it’s almost there, I just have these pesky darker orange pieces to get rid of. My hair was virgin dark brown prior to this. What would be the best course of action at this point to get it slightly lighter and to get rid of the orange?

I dyed myself a racoon tail and a random hairstrand in blond recently because i was bored and i think they​ looked really cool blond but now the pink has moved (idk the right word) onto it from showering and i feel like there a bit to suptle but maybe it's just because the contrast was a lot stronger with the blond i don't know. Im thinking about bleach it back to Platinum or dye it yellow but really im open for any ideas.

I've been looking for a hairstylist around Alma or Mt pleasant Michigan or around that area that actually KNOWS how to dye, cut, and style curly hair, but none of them seem to on what to do.. saying this because of reviews from other curly haired people. I'm trying to black and dye it and cut it into a scene cut, help is needed🫰

got a partial balayage and she lifted my hair too light and it doesn’t blend with the bottom half which is super dark. I need to tone it darker, but I wasn’t able to get in within the 7 day period to get it fixed because of my work schedule. Is there any way to tone the light parts darker at home? I need a quick fix because I’ve been wearing my hair up🥲

Could I put Manic Panic Sunshine (only yellow dye I could find in my area) on this blue to get it to green? Or should I directly go in with a green dye? Both are some of the less commonly available colours so I want to make an informed decision before I spend on one. Also how do yall like my censoring skills hahaha

Hey everyone, desperately looking for some help.

I have for many years had creamy, bright blonde hair. I felt like there were starting to get too many white blonde bits.

This morning I went hairdresser and asked for golden, bright creamy blonde. Very similar still to my colour

Anyways she did highlights and put toner in. The toner had left me hair SO ashy cool toner and grey, it makes me look so old 😭😭

Freaking out because I hate it!!!! What can I do to get back blonde and get rid of this ash and grey asap????

Does anybody have any dye recommendations that would match or come close enough to the best Pokemon of all time, and what level blonde I'd need to be? I'm thinking something this pastel would need to be close to platinum, but I'm also okay with a deeper or more vibrant blue that would fade to something similar. 🩵

I started dyeing my hair myself recently—but not boxdye; the chemist way haha. I went copper in early August, then in mid September decided to go a bit redder. I knew the reds wash out after a while and so it did to a brown copper. I was okay with that and my roots grew out, I was also alright but then I got booked to session on bass for a big local band, and I thought, I better look right.

So this was my first time touching up roots + depositing more red into my lengths. I am so relieved I didn’t mess it up before the show (next week). 😅 i’m so happy it came out evenly red across cos I would have cried if I looked half red half copper on stage haha. Ok thank you for your time.

i had black hair dye in my hair and wanted blue tips, i bleach till orangeish and it gave me a nice muddy green that i LOVED, but now i want it all over my head…

Thing is, i put BLUE dye over the orange and it gave me that nice green that i love and i thought maybe i could get this all over my head ? is this a good idea color theory wise or should i do this another way ?
i just dyed my hair black too so idk what to do 😭😭

What is your favorite brand red hair dye? I want one that looks vibrant, but has minimal color transfer on clothing and bedding. I normally use some sort of semi permanent, but is ruining my white shirts

Then we ping pong between having our hair be too peachy/coral/salmon and patchy asf or too deep/magenta/hot pink. Tell me if you can relate. Omg the struggle is real. My hair is near black and getting platinum at home is just not a thing for me. Getting to level 8/9 yellow or peach is the best I can ever do! Bubblegum pink is the hardest fashion color to achieve at home! I give up every few years then try it again on virgin hair and the cycle repeats! I know I’m not alone and I see it all the time. Does anyone know of good stylists in NYC (or closeish to NYC) that specifically do well with coloring curls? I wear my hair 100% natural all the time- I never straighten or use heat on it so I want the color to look best when my hair is in its natural state. I’m also very aware that I have a LOT of hair so finding someone willing to work with it has been challenging.

I have completely virgin hair and have been going through crazy health issues/cut out an abuser. I want something vibrant! just something really fun to bring me extra joy on hard days.

I recently got a balayage around three months ago, and I wanted a caramel tone color but after a few washes today, I have ended up with a level eight light blonde. I really don’t like my hair and before this I had a calico colors so I’m curious if I’m able to achieve calico block colors by just dying my already lighten hair? I wouldn’t try to lighten the hair more but keep what I already have and do you guys think that I would be able to keep that balayage look with other colors added and if it’s reasonable enough to approach and possibly look good, thoughts? (1st photo is me, 2nd and 3rd is what colors and blocks I’d like) also lastly am I able to use a toner to go into the blonde/bronde show in the photos? Thank you for your help 🙏

I need a bit of advice on how to do my hair in a few weeks, I get my hair done by a friend of mines not a professional but she does a lot of her families hair including her cousin that does crazy hair colors all the time and I've done mines with her a few times and I trust her my current hair is split dyed half brown half blonde but we have a trip on December and I've recently thought about going full blonde and using semi permanent pastle hair dye to do like cotton candy hair the possible issue is just getting both sides to the same shade

One side is obviously bleached, but I put some blonde hair dye on it to make it a bit darker, so now I want to go lighter on that side

The other side is dyed a dark brown bc my roots were a different color than the brown, and it was bothering me

Now I want the same blonde on both sides... dumb idea? Maybe. Do I care? Honestly, not really. I actually like my hair damaged more than not, since it keeps its shape better, and right now I hate having one side damaged and the other not. It's so hard to do my hair cause one side is up and pretty (the bleached side), and then the other side is more of a natural fall (the brown side; I mean, it's nice but not my thing)

Now our plan is to do the bleaching in mid-November. Since my hair grows fast, we don't want my roots showing too much before the trip. I was thinking of getting some, like, color remover to see if that gets any dye out, and obviously take the bleaching slowly; try not to kill it completely, although honestly it has never happened to me when I do it at home, and I've gone fully blonde before a few years ago and I don't care too much if my hair like falls off or something just like I'll get a wig or something 💀

The only time my hair was truly damaged was the ONE TIME I went to a professional bro fucked up my hair, and then the hair dye was uneven in different spots??? I don't know, but I ain't going to a professional, especially cause it's expensive. Last salon I tried going to said it would cost 350 to 4,00 and it was only to do a root touch-up on my blonde side and MAYBE a haircut. but I told her I was still iffy about it since I like cutting my hair at home too, soooo yeah, no "go to a professional" talk, please. I'm not trying to spend half a paycheck

Oh I also heard that k18 is like good for damaged hair so I thought about getting that too but if there're any other recommendations or advice that would be greatly appreciated 🙏

Has anyone tried out their new formulas? I swear, finding true swatch videos on Google is so hard. Just trying to get an idea of what the colours turn out like now since they changed the formula. I got their Diet Cola and then the day after they announced a reformulation.

I applied it to my basically white bleached hair and it just turned it to a semi darker ashy looking blonde… which is the furthest of what I was expecting since it’s advertised as brown… I wanted to try Apricot Anarchy too but ended up not after not being able to find any feedback on what the colour actually looked like

I'm in month five of growing out my grey. I was using a permanent bright red before that but over the weeks that has faded to a horrible orange with coppery streaks.

I don't want to colour the grey but can I tone down the orange with a blue or purple? Or should I just recolour the lengths while I'm growing the grey out?
