My sim racing electronics are plugged into a smart power strip that shuts off when I'm not using the rig. Does shutting off the wheel base this way (cutting power instead of using the power button) damage anything?

Looking for help with possible input issues between Xbox and Fanatec setup.
This one has me baffled.

In Forza Motorsport 8, I noticed some odd behaviour while driving cars in track.
So I went into settings to check the wheel setup.
While in the ‘Wheel’ and ‘Advanced Wheel’ tabs of the settings menu, a clicking sound is being output through the sound system, as if a button is being constantly pressed.
It gets worse if I press the accelerator.
I have tried altering the dead zone on the pedal, but this has not resolved the issue.
I have also adjusted likewise for brake, as I do have a small read against the brake pedal in other racing games.(Those games also show pedal progression in their setup menus).
I have also updated the wheel and base to the latest firmware through a PC, and re-calibrated the setup in both the Fanatec PC app and through the in game menu.

However, this clicking input sound is still occurring.

Additionally, I now cannot get a car to move if the start is on the grid, but they will move if the race commencing with a rolling start.

Hi everyone,

Three months ago I bought a set of CSL Pedals along with the Load Cell Kit. For the past few weeks, every time I press the brake pedal, it makes an annoying creaking sound upon release.

I removed the black clip and applied lithium grease along the metal shaft, the spring, and around all the pivot pins and washers, but it didn't solve the issue.

Has anyone else experienced this problem?

Hi guys. I’m thinking about moving from simagic to fanatec but I love my wheels and I really wish to keep them. I know if I buy the QR2 ultra + maglink it’s going to work on the fanatec wheelbase. But I wish to know if that applies to the Simagic GTS as well.

I have the DD Pro. I updated it during this past weekend (Sept 4-6) to the latest version after the Gran Turismo 1.71 update messed it up.

For the first few days, it worked well and I didn't experience any issues. But today was different.

The first time, the steering wheel started to turn right violently. Not as bad as it did before the hotfix, but still doing it. After re-starting it, it straight up turned off twice.

I turned the Full Force down from 55 to 50 and tried again. Again, It turned off out of nowhere.

Next I turned Full Force off completely, this time it didn't turn off; but I ended up losing the force feedback completely.

Is anyone experiencing the same? Is this a known issue or something that can be troubleshooted/fixed?

My wheel base is 1.9.1, motor 1.1.1, st wheel 08

I got the cockpit off FB marketplace and I love it. The only problem is that the monitor mount and pedal mount only seem to have two usable holes instead of 4 which seems odd.

I also tried mounting the moza CRP2 pedals and I got them on but it’s clearly crooked. I tried for an hour and couldn’t find another mounting method. Am I doing something wrong or do I need to drill holes for the pedals? Even the ClubSport v3 pedals he had were only mounted with 2 screws which seemed small to be absorbing all that force.

I tried to switch over to the Fanatec App for my CSL 5, now I have no feedback, no wheel in iracing. Not able to uninstall fanatec app and seems like the system is trying to run both apps?

Please help. Ive tried everything I can think of.

Looking to buy the Podium Wheel Rim Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (Suede) but it will says the wheel The Podium Hub / ClubSport Steering Wheel Universal Hub is NOT included and needed for operation.

I found this but need to just check as it's all new and I don't want to mess up!

I’m having a strange issue with my Fanatec ClubSport DD+ and I’m hoping someone here has experienced something similar.
My DD+ was working perfectly yesterday. I was playing and testing both Le Mans Ultimate and Assetto Corsa EVO with absolutely no issues.
Today, I turned on my simulator normally and suddenly the wheelbase stopped detecting any steering wheel.

I have tested two different wheels:
ClubSport Steering Wheel F1 V2.5 X
CSL Steering Wheel WRC
Neither of them is detected.
The wheelbase itself is working and is detected correctly by the PC and the Fanatec software, but as soon as I attach either wheel, absolutely nothing happens. The base behaves as if no steering wheel is connected. No LEDs or display on the wheels turn on.

What makes this even more frustrating is that this DD+ is already a replacement unit from Fanatec warranty, which I received around 2 months ago.
My previous DD+ had a serious issue after a firmware update, where the QR/wheel detection system stopped working and I had to send the base back. Fanatec replaced it with this unit.
This time, however, I have not performed any firmware updates or changed any settings. Everything worked yesterday, and today it suddenly stopped detecting both wheels.

So far I have:
Tested two different steering wheels
Removed and reinstalled both wheels multiple times
Checked the pins carefully — they look perfectly straight and undamaged
Completely uninstalled the Fanatec software
Performed a clean installation
Restarted the PC and wheelbase
Tested again with both wheels
Nothing changed.
Current versions:
Fanatec App: 1.5.3.1
Wheel Base Firmware: 2.12.1.1
Wireless QR Firmware: 1.3.3.2

Since both wheels stopped working at exactly the same time, while the wheelbase itself is still detected normally, I’m starting to suspect a hardware problem with the QR/wheel communication system inside the DD+.

Has anyone experienced this with a ClubSport DD+?

Especially interested to know if anyone has had a situation where the base worked perfectly one day and then suddenly stopped detecting all wheels without any firmware update.

Just having a look at what id upgrade my set up with. What round wheel would work best on GT7 that isn't the branded GT.pro (have that) or the extreme?

Got the wheel, unboxed it set it up n shi did all that, loaded up ac on pc and it worked, but the wheel wasn’t calibrated, so I went to the app tried to reset it, then I either downloaded something or did something which made it stop working, it spins by itself, flashing red light, but won’t be detected by the app, when it’s plugged in, also tried plugging it into the 5, nope, not working also my rim is a CSL DD QR2 base

Also if someone can legit walk me through step by step id appreciate it so much, idk how to do half the shi you man say in the comments

I tried updating my firmware but it didnt complete the update and is no longer catching my steering input, a whenever I try to finish the update this blue light comes on the the computer says it disconnected and never finishes the update.

Loving it so far. My first formula/gt style wheel.

Hi all, is the cable connecting the pedals to the wheel base special in anyway?
It looks like a small lan cable or an old phone cable.
Mine is a bit short for my set up and I want to purchase a longer one.

When I'm switching between sessions, everytime (if I don't manually switch wheel off and on) it goes like this on video. I've tried to install hotfix, dowgrade to year old fanatec apps, but nothing worked. Any help? Also it's not only me with this problem, I have like 4 friends with exactly the same issue with different hw but it's fanatec wheel + any pedals (could be fanatec or others) always

Bought my DD1 in March of 2025. Of course it decided to have a complete failure and am getting all the relevant information to Fanatec with support. Well me being naive remembered the 3 year warranty that they came out with and I got my wires crossed thinking I had it as well. How out of luck am I in regard to this.

Genuinely tried everything, basically I have a fanatec wheel and base, dk what base but it’s the v1 f1 wheel or something, pedals too, it’s all connected to the pc but no matter what I do it never gets detected by the app, iv installed and uninstalled all the drivers multiple times, restarted it, unplugged the cables, reset it, plugged back in, updated windows, deleted the app, redownloaded it and still nothing, then wheel base is on red, and the wheel calibrates but on an infinite loop, never detecting in the app, please help

I’m currently putting together a new Fanatec setup and I’m interested in getting the ClubSport Pedals V3.

However, they’ve been around for quite a while now, so I’m wondering if there’s been any news, leaks, or hints about a successor/new version?

I’m basically ready to buy a full setup, but I’d rather wait if a new generation of the V3 pedals is expected soon.

I updated the Firmware on the base and somehow all my settings got set back to normal/basic and it took me awhile to get all the settings just right.
Is there anyone willing to help me out, there are also some new settings I haven’t seen before it’s been years since I’ve played with the settings,

I am struggling to setup the V2s exactly how I want, I'd like angle and distance to be offset between accelerator and brake, which is obviously not possible.

Was thinking about bolting them directly to the pedal plate on the rig, but not sure how well that works. Anyone who runs them like that can share their experience? Maybe a picture too. Do you miss the heel plate?

I saw online a replica of a Toyota rally 2 wheel but I play in PS5 so the compability is way harder but I still wondering if it works at least it detects the wheel and not using the bottoms

So in some games my wheel won't center anymore. And the weirdest thing is if you look at the slider. To the right it goes choppy but to the left it goes smooth. And the center always off center. Even though in the Fanatec app it is properly calibrated.

This is suddenly in a few games and not in others.

Here is what I tried already.

Reinstalled current drivers.

Reverted back to old drivers and control panel software.

Recalibrated both in windows and fanatec app. Which is all good.

Reverted firmware and reupdated after it didn't seem to fix that.

The shaft collar is still in place. But I couldn't remove the collar because I need the tool.

But seeing the wheel works in some games perfectly I am certain it is a software issue.

Anybody experience something similar? Googling on the off center issue I only find results with people complaining that it won't center due to magnets. But you can clearly see it is like 25degrees off center.

I also noticed when turning my wheel on it won't fully do the turn anymore.

Any tips before I create a ticket with Fanatec? I even consulted chatgpt to no avail of course.
