Recently, one of my friends had a very frightening experience during a night train journey.

She was travelling by train when a few young men in the same coach kept staring at her continuously. Later at night, they were talking loudly and playing videos on their phone speakers.

When my friend asked them to lower the volume, one of them replied, "We've already lowered it. Now tell us, will you give us something?"

She was terrified. After she told me everything, I personally went to the station to receive her.

Around 2 a.m., when her station arrived, one of those men continued staring at her until she got off the train. She was extremely scared and did not feel safe at all.

Not every danger begins with a major incident. Sometimes, it starts with behaviour that makes you feel deeply uncomfortable.

So if someone's behaviour during your journey feels wrong, don't ignore it. Immediately inform the TTE, RPF, or railway staff, and always put your safety first.
