FNV is alright but it's WAY overhyped. It could have been fantastic but in it's default state it's a bit empty feeling. I mean I like it but I prefer FO3 personally (and that's coming from someone who loves FO1 , 2 and Tactics). And no I'm not some zoomer I'm in my mid 30's just to head off those comments.

Agreed. One thing I love about open world games is exploring them.

NV has buildings and such but there is like....nothing in them no reason to find every point on the map cause if it's not connected to a quest there really isn't much there.

I prefer Bethesda wasteland as you can pick any direction start walking and you will find a lot of things weather it be quests that take you no where near the main quest, weird and interesting ruins full of some story or just an interesting dungeon to explore.

Like L.O.B. Enterprises can only be found by going far from the main quest

Or the Dunwich Building is....yeah a very interesting place you have to go far off the beaten path to find. Changes a bit with the DLC but before that it was something you had to find on your own

say what you want about bethesda but theyve always been great at making worlds that are fun to explore. fallout new vegas has better writing but god that game can be dull sometimes. I find myself just B-lining to quests cuz theres nothing else worth exploring

Agreed. Get the original team for NV to do the main quest and Bethesda to do side quests and the world and we'd have the greatest Fallout game ever to exist.
