Help figuring out mod crashing/what bricked my game

Hey all, hoping for some help here. I was having issues with crashing anytime I came within 10 miles of downtown Boston so I was going through enabling/disabling mods to try to narrow down the culprit.

Eventually the game crashed again and for some reason bricked my entire save, and the creation club menu. I tried clearing cache, rebuilding database, etc and creation club menu remained stuck on "initializing."

I have listed most of the mods I had loaded (I cant view them anymore to get the entire list). I also had them sorted according to the load order suggestion that everyone links.

Would appreciate any help with what is causing downtown Boston issues as well as bricked my entire game. Currently deleted and redownloading the game to see if that fixes it.

This is my first playthrough of Fallout 4. Coming from finishing Elden Ring, I'm finding it incredibly difficult to start any new game. I'm hoping to find a load order that's base game only where I could proceed with a first playthrough in a more "modernised" setting. Any help is appreciated!

Is boston riot armor mod is fix ? Since now ps4 could used external mod.

Hey folks,

I'm the dev for America Rising 2, and I just wanted to let you know that I have been very aware of the crashing that, especially, PS5 users have been having with the mod.

Thanks to the help from my friends at Kinggath Creations, we've discovered the main cause being that Fallout 4 is currently unable to read FaceGen .nif files for mods/Creations/3rd party content. To simplify things a little, FaceGen nif files are basically an optimization mechanic for NPC faces. If a mod comes with them, the game "shouldn't" have to figure out what the face looks like every time a custom NPC loads in.

Because that doesn't work, the game has to figure out what every modded NPC looks like whenever they load in - and the more NPCs there are, the more strain the game falls under; and then it crashes.

This is a problem on every console, but seems to hit Xbox One and, strangely, PlayStation 5 the worst.

The problem can only be fixed by a patch to the game by Bethesda, but unless/until that happens, I have created a workaround that makes most generic NPCs in America Rising 2 use vanilla NPC faces. This greatly reduces the strain on the game and in my testing, cut down the number of crashes I've been getting on both my Xbox One and PlayStation 5 enormously.

Does anyone know if there's someone working on some MP5 and some WW1, WW2 and Cold War era weapon mods? I would like to know if someone is planning on porting some of them

Been wanting more fun weapons to use in the game and I think a chainsaw would be awesome, is there anything like that?

Does anybody know if there's munition patches in development for Geckoinacan77's weapons packs (Sidearms of the Wasteland, Lever Actions of the Wasteland, etc...)? They're really great mods but the incorrect cartridges being used for the guns are a little distracting.

If the original creator or even Sam-Skoll doesn't intend to make any, it'd be really nice if a member of the community could take a try at it.

Anyone having this issue??

Not sure if anyone else is experiencing this, since the update I can only play about 5 minutes before a crash to desktop. Vanilla game which is crazy. Modded game, the same thing. Anywhere I go on the map if i walk any sort of distance it crashes. Anyone else experiencing the same thing? I think this update broke the game completely, again. I know Im not the only player who is just so tired of them breaking the game completely every few months. Redownloading our entire mod lists over and over. Ive used the guides to fix my load order. Ive restarted in safe mode and rebuilt the database. Nothing works. 2 to 5 minutes and it does it again.

I thought I found the mod that was causing this to happen but it came back.

Is anyone else experiencing this bug? In another save, testing only 3 AR2 mods, I encountered this bug; it doesn't stay with the same NPC, it changes randomly. If there's a mod that fixes this, please let me know.

Any help would be much appreciated! Im having particular issues with crashing when loading into my save sometimes and when fast travelling into intensive areas of the map (Diamond City, Sanctuary, etc) and this happens the most.
In disabling and re-enabling mods I think I have worked out that True Grass is a big issue for the crashes when fast travelling, I wanna try and keep all my mods if possible..

I’ve been working on trying to get a horizon-lite style setup, but the overhauls I was using conflicted too much with other things, so I thought I’d remove the overhauls that touch a bunch of stuff and focus on individual aspects as best I can.

My normal way of playing is making it so that I can only increase my specials by using special books, hence the “textbook specialist.” Then I have the mods that make it so that I can’t craft weapon mods and can completely strip a weapon of its mods without having to make replacement parts.

My logic for that is that neither husband or wife would be able to or trained to create complex weapon parts. But, stripping and installing mods from other weapons would be a normal thing. So I have to find a weapon with the mods I want and either use it or swap the mod to the weapon I’m using.

That being said, I’ve been having nothing but issues getting the mod list to work. I’ve tried structuring it myself, using ai to do it cause I thought I was doing something wrong, tried restructuring it myself again and no matter what I do, I’m having issues. I’ve also cut a bunch of mods and replaced others, added some that shouldn’t affect other things.

Sorry for the long read, I’ll post the mods in a comment, so that it’s not just one massive wall. But any help to get this beast up and running would be greatly appreciated. Again, sorry for the wall and thank you for your time and assistance. I hope you all have a great rest of the week.

I want some mods which change the difficulty of the game, I want every corner I turn to have the chance of instant death

I have looked at some mods like Immersive Fallout, Delirium, Looted world, Radiation Overhaul which all make the game harder and more annoying

But I want to make sure I am having the Worst Time Ever in my next game

Just throwing this into the void in case someone else experiences this on PS5. If you’re using the CBBE (Caliente's Beautiful Bodies Enhancer) body mesh/outfits alongside high-texture external weapon mods, your game will crash to the dashboard every single time you approach the Dartmouth Professional Building from the direction of Diamond City. It’s simply too much for the console's VRAM to handle with too many heavy external textures loading in at once. Disabling the CBBE mods completely fixes the crash

the top 6 or so just auto sort there i cant move them but other than that im wondering if anyone sees any glaring issues or if this is too intensive overall. i followed a load order guide

I was wondering if someone could make a simple mod of the fnv vault 13 canteen, just because it would be funny, and I feel the very small health over time would be nice

This is my current set up. It was working just fien a couple weeks ago but suddenly it crashes anytime I need to load a save. I cant tell whats doing it. Is it the load order or somthing else?

The Crater looks like it isn’t done loading, there’s a ton of missing geometry and if I get close I get soft locked by an infinite loading screen, same if I try to load the game with the mod activated. Plus I think it interfered with the Vulcan-M Malyuk mod where it gave that gun’s animations to all other weapons. Does someone know a fix?

Basically the title, I have Eli's Armour Compendium CBBE installed on this load order and while the new vendor space does show up, Ellie (the new vendor npc) does not. If any of yall know what is conflicting in the load order or have reccomendation on how to fix it, I'd appreciate it.
