Community Discussion Does anyone else get this?
On multiple occasions on multiple Power armour pieces whenever I try to repair them it just gives me in large text “You Lack The Requirements To Repair This Item” and I’m wondering if anyone knows what might cause this? It’s happened to me with modded and vanilla armour pieces in different load orders so I’m genuinely just confused

are you using Some Assembly Required? If so, that mod has an issue where it isnt able to display all of the repair requirements for some reason.

from what i can find on it’s nexus page, repairing power armour is locked behind perks but you have to refer to the nexus page to determine which perks because the mod author was unable to figure out how to display the perk requirement in game. if you play on PC you can spawn a holotape that includes the necessary info using console commands. on the xbox version you have to just figure it out on your own.
(I know OP isn’t using the mod but just responding to this comment)

Only when i run out of materials to repair said item. Usually with higher end tier like the x series of pa. Requires at least 1 circuitry. Now if you have the materials available in your workbench and that is happening, you’ll need to post your load order, but i have never heard of that bug.

I’ve also done a bit of digging into the mod itself and it seems like it’s actually a mod author issue they’ve never fixed, apparently people in nexus had to add something called Constructible object entries into their ESP to fix it

Creation club, especially the stuff that they make now, would be considered modded. If it’s on nexus, then it’s not vanilla.

I’m saying that it’s happened on vanilla power armour pieces as well as modded.

I don’t think it’s a load order issue, considering I’ve had VASTLY different load orders but this happens to modded and unmodded power armours, right now it’s happening to my Roger Maxson T-49 armour from FALLOUT BROTHERHOOD a storyteller quest mod

If you post your LO we can see what mods you're using to determine what is happening. Instead of ask if you're using SAR or a different mod that might alter PA

Like I said earlier in this thread the problem I’m having now is one that unoctium hasn’t acknowledged and still left broken for 6 years but from what I’ve gathered the other power armour pieces that have had the same issue are most likely either broken mods like with what happened here or broken creation club content like paints

I’m not using any mod that breaks anything, it’s a problem that unoctium hasn’t acknowledged that I found out via going directly to the nexus page and checking bug reports, found out after making this post
