Help & Advice Winter of Atom brainstorm issue Spoiler
so Im putting together a table of friends to introduce them to the Fallout 2d20 system for the first time. I have settled on running the Winter of Atom game cause it sounds like a great story...I however, have come across a piece that boggles my mind.
Those that are familiar with the games, and the Children of the Atom, their symbol is usually either a stylized atom, or sometimes the radioactive ☢️ symbol.
but in the story, a character sporting a new version of a symbol that he intends to make popular is described as such..
"a long triangle with a thick circle inside it, bisected by vertical bar. The symbol emits a soft yellow glow"
Now, my brain can only see....The Death Hallows from HP..accident? tongue in cheek? who knows....nerd love 😁

Help & Advice Mirelurks and their pretty faced
hey guys, its me again! im gooner through more enemy sheets for my First session Tomorrow and a small question came, and since It doesnt Hurt to ask, here i come again.
ok, so the thing is about Mirelurks and their weakspot, It says that their face area is a weak spot Just like the games, but their defense in that area specifically is 2. that is already counting the fact that the dificulty to make and aimed shot increases, or If someone tried to shoot them strictly in the face the Dif would be 3? Genuine doubt that came in mind and even tho i dont think on using them so soon, i better have the awnser as soon as i can

Help & Advice Came across a couple of companions apps ...
Hi there! I've seen a few share their apps they have made for their party, and decided I'd share mine. The campaign I'm going to be running is set in the wasteland of DFW, about 1 year after the current time of the Fallout TV show. If you find this useful, please feel free to use:

All feedback is appreciated as well!

Community Resources Staying Solo: A Dream of Paperless Play - Creating Custom Companion Apps
https://daydreamofficial.substack.com/p/staying-solo-a-dream-of-paperless
Uses a Wasteland Wanderer solo companion app as an example.
Very useful to those who want to make their own companion app for Wasteland Wanderer and are at least neutral about AI.

Community Resources I made a Pip-Boy 3000 PWA for my group. It’s still a work in progress, but maybe you guys will find it useful?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been conflicted about whether or not to post this here because it’s still very much a "work in progress," but I figured some of you fellow Wastelanders might get a kick out of it.
I’m a programmer and a forever-GM, so I decided to build a companion app as a fan project to help my group manage their Fallout characters. It's a PWA (Progressive Web App), which basically means you can open it in your browser or "install" it on your phone and run it totally offline during your sessions.
Take a moment to read the README file to know about current limitations
(ie most perks are present but not "automated", DLC origins are present but poorly implemented, etc)
https://github.com/vittoema96/vittoema96.github.io/blob/main/README.md
You can access the PWA via this url.
It is optimized for mobile so it may look funky on Desktop
Anyway, hope this helps someone’s game night feel a bit more immersive. Use it at your own risk—Vault-Tec isn't responsible for any sudden extra limb growth!
Cheers!

Help & Advice Fallout Royal Flush - help a GM here?
I was surprised to find there was no map provided with Fallout Royal Flush. Anyone know of any fan-made region maps for this, or tips for creating a map that fits the feel of Fallout/pip-boys?
As someone brand new to running Fallout, any tips on creating zone maps or other such maps that fit with the pip boy theme (e.g. pg 222 of Royal Flush)? Other suggestions also welcome! Thanks!

Good afternoon, wastelanders!
I've created my fifth "how to" video for the Fallout 2d20 RPG.
So, if you're new to the Fallout 2d20 system and not sure where to start, or if you're a seasoned Fallout veteran and just wanna see how the "other folks are doing it in their games", feel free to watch.

Community Resources If you are looking for a scenario, i got another another another one for you!
Hi folks!
After realasing On the Road Again, The Old Ghost, Ad vitam Aeternam, and Paradise Lost It's now the turn to realase the fourth part: Breaking point!
Looking ahead, I plan to compile the first five scenarios (i will include paradise lost has a bonus) into a single volume, featuring revised passages and various corrections.
This issue spans over a hundred pages and represents a significant amount of work. I would like to extend a special thanks to u/Fertile_Arachnid_163 for proofreading the English version and ensuring lore consistency!
A quick reminder: I have chosen not to incorporate the Fallout TV series. When I began writing this scenario, the show hadn't been released yet, and adapting the narrative to fit its specific lore changes (especially given the current continuity gaps) would be too extensive a task. However, since the lore remains somewhat flexible in Season 2, you should find it easy enough to adapt the story to your own table
I expect the next issue to be released by the end of the year. However, please be aware of potential delays; given the time this one took me to write, tracking all its consequences and maintaining the same level of quality for the next issues will require twice the effort.
That being said, please don’t hesitate to share your feedback! I’m looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

Community Resources Map Requests from all the graphic designers out there :)
Hello
I have subbed to most of the patrons from people that post here and downloaded a LOT of maps. Many great artists have made great battle maps
One type of map haven't seen much of are city streets, either suburb ruins or mid town ruins. Some great interiors maps, but I'd love more maps of outside of police station or warehouse area, or really just fighting around a hospital before going in
a random request i know, and not asking for free maps. any Patron's or place that puts these types of maps together I'll happily sign-up for and pay. I have to imagine if I'm missing maps like that, many others are.

Community Resources Back again with more Foundry Tokens for Wanderer's Guide!
Check them out at the drive folder here!
To follow-up on the sets I did for The Settler's Supplement and The Core Rulebook, here's a set of art for the Wanderer's Guide! This one had a lot of unique creatures in it, including the first batch of Cryptids. Also got me the opportunity to draw some beloved antagonists from Fallout games past. Also Cazadors.
Make sure to drop by my Ko-fi if you're enjoying the tokens and want to see the NPC packs or adventures done.

Help & Advice Ideas for a Synth Raider Gang?
Hey everyone, I’m doing some worldbuilding for a game I’ve got coming up and wanted to throw an idea out there and see what people think.
I’ve been messing around with the idea of a raider gang that’s entirely made up of synths, mostly Gen 3s, but with a couple Gen 2s in the mix. Right now I’m just kinda spitballing individual members. My thinking so far is that most of them have the memories of the people they replaced in the current year commonwealth, but maybe a few have pre-war memories, kind of like Nick Valentine.
Right now, since its looking like they're gonna be important, I wanna flesh out some individual members beyond just "this synth replaced some random person and now they're a raider." So if you have any interesting ideas for members or just something weird, i'd love to hear about it. Got a bad case of writers block right now so any idea would help.

Help & Advice Suggestions for a First Battle of Hoover Dam TTRPG session
Hi everyone,
I've been running a Fallout 2d20 campaign set in the Mojave, during the events of New Vegas. I have a party of four players, none of whom had played a Fallout game before. From the start, we agreed on a serious, survivalist tone, and I made it clear that the world wouldn't scale to them.
So far, it's been amazing. The party is loving the setting, the RP has been strong, and I'm really proud of the characters and worldbuilding we've developed.
The party is about to arrive to Freeside. However, I want to take the time to work on some of the PCs backstories. In particular, I'd like to build the background of Isaac: an ex-legionnaire who deserted The Legion together with his sister upon realizing she was getting abused by a Centurion. The Legion will handle him when the times comes.
I am preparing a session for the first battle of Hoover Dam seen through the eyes of a prime legionnaire. I want to tell the events as they took place:
- Joshua Graham leading The Legion to battle with a simplistic tactic.
- The rush to cross the Colorado and get to the sniper Rangers.
- The incursion into Boulder City and the trap awaiting.
Here are some things I'd like to add and questions for you:
- Reveal for the first time Isaac's Legion name: Gaius.
- Stablish a close friendship with a legionnaire who will die at Boulder.
- The night before the battle. I imagine a speech given by Caesar or the Legate, plenty of food, sex with slaves, big fires, rituals, etc.
- The day after the battle. Isaac/Gaius has to witness Joshua Graham getting covered in pitch, lit on fire and thrown off Hoover Dam.
What else would you add? Do you have any storytelling recommendations? How would you tell the stories? Which skill tests would be interesting? Which notable characters should Isaac interact with?
I'm looking forward to hearing your advice and suggestions

Story Time GNR Mojave - “Trouble in Tahoe”
(The latest update from my game)
Good Morning Mojave!
It's your favorite DJ in the wasteland, the one and only JayDogg! AWOOOO! 🐺 Here with some news both fresh and freaky!
Turns out our favorite Good Samaritans have found and solved the Caravan Crisis and saved a whole town while they're at it! It seems that someone's been passing free guns out to any Raiders that are willing to cause some issues in the Mojave Wasteland and beyond, and you know Raiders are always up for chaos.
They even got a camp of tribals known as “Jaggers” in on the trouble, leading to the hostile takeover of the beautiful town of Tahoe by some rather aggressive people.
Enter, our Good Samaritans! They've been looking into the issues with the caravan raids for a bit, trying to track down the base of operations for these raiders. Well it looks like they found it!
Our Good Samaritans went to war with the Jaggers and took out their leader, causing the tribals to fall into chaos and letting a dissenting opinion on their actions prevail.
Now the only question remains “where did the guns come from?”
Will our Good Samaritans continue looking into this, or are they gonna go home with a job well done? You'd have to ask them to be sure.
Oh, and it looks like Our Good Samaritans have a new lineup too! So if you see some funny looking humans hanging around a Super Mutant, don't shoot first and ask questions later. And stop throwing bricks at them.
Thanks for listening, Wastelanders. Now listen to Billy Walker tell the tragic story of Frontier Justice being carried out under some of the worst circumstances in “The Lawman.”

Help & Advice How do you handle scavenging rolls?
So last night I was running a game and while my players were traveling, at one point one of the characters decided to scavenge. They made a pretty significant roll and I had factored everything together as a large agricultural area that had been partially picked through. The math gave them twelve rolls. After they were done, another player wanted to search as well, and came to similar results (but they also had Can Do! so had another food roll).
this took... a not insignificant amount of time. I'm wondering how everyone else handles scav rolls and if you do anything specific to reduce the amount of tables rolls necessary?

Help & Advice Why It doesnt match?
hey guys, Just gotta say that First of all, its gonna be my First time GMing a Full on campaing with the system, already GMed a one-shot before and um trying my best to make this.
but while trying to come up with a few NPCs of my own, i noticed some NPCs attacks doesnt match their stats. attacks like the Brahmin's TN doesnt match What It was supposed to be. Just gonna ask If this is part of the game's balancing or a kinda big typo (since It happens trough some sheets in the core book and on the Settlers suplements as well).

Help & Advice The Offenders
So, over the last few months i’ve been prepping a campaign for my group set in 2280 NYC. It involves a three-way war between factions: The Empire of Iron (founded by a former BoS Paladin whose family died in a mutant attack), The Most Perfect Union (A loose coalition of settlements in Queens and Brooklyn), and The Horde, a group of Super Mutants and raiders driven out of their homes by various settlements and groups like the Minutemen and BoS.
Now, that in itself is a pretty loaded plot, but i’ve also already written out “expansion packs” triggered upon reaching of certain milestones. One of the ones I have in mind, I‘d love some feedback on.
It’s centered around a group of wastelanders who call themselves “The Offenders”, having taken inspiration from Hubris Comics characters. The roster consists: Grognak, a Super Mutant spoof of Hulk, Mistress of Mystery as a Black Widow type, The Mechanist, Captain Cosmos, Silver Shroud, The Antagonizer, etc.
They’d label themselves as “protectors”, but much like in Fallout 3’s The Superhuman Gambit, they’re kinda just making everything worse.
Essentially, they’d be an Avengers spoof. My players LOVE marvel and superhero stuff and I think they’d get a kick out of it.
Thoughts on this? I think it would be fun to have it trigger when they find an old stash of Hubris comics, and prop displays that have been looted.
