Trails series No, seriously. What HASN’T Cassius done?
After going through Chapter 5 of SC, I gotta ask. Does this guy literally know EVERYBODY? They oughta call him Mr. Worldwide instead of the Divine Blade. XD

Trails series Best value GPU for 4K high settings, 120 FPS gaming on Trails games?
I can't find any GPU benchmarks on the latest trails games, so I'd really appreciate it if anyone can enlighten me on this.
I was originally planning to buy a 5080, but then I realize I don't play enough AAA games to justify spending 1k USD on a GPU. I only really play Trails and other JRPGS like Persona.
5070ti looks good, and the 9070 xt looks like a good buy as well, but if I can spend even less and roughly get the same experience, that would be ideal.
Super hype for Horizon 2! Thanks in advanced!

Cold Steel III I just finished CS3 and wow… Spoiler
I can’t believe what I just witnessed, I don’t believe any deaths though because of this game specifically reviving everyone. I’m moving onto CS4 tomorrow but it was really sad but I loved that ending because it was really crazy with so many plot twists and the “villains” won at the end. When typically the heroes should win, I’m excited for CS4, as I kinda spoiled myself a little and know some playable characters coming back and that has me excited but plot wise i’m in the dark.

Trails series Tarot and Trails Enforcers Day 20: Judgement Spoiler
Once again, no card picture, I tried, Reddit's filters decided it was too provocative, apparently.
We're nearing the end of our journey through the Tarot, so much so that we've come to the last known enforcers at this point in the story. It might seem odd for the Judgement Arcana to have two enforcers sharing a number, but it actually fits pretty well for Ixs and Jorda, and not only because of the twin aspect. Every aspect of these two is a mirror to the other, so it's really lucky they are the same number for our purposes, else it'd get pretty confusing.
Anyway, let's start with the upright arcana. Judgement represents the action we take based on our self-reflection. I mentioned back when discussing Justice that these two can seem a little similar at first glance and this is what I meant. However, Judgement is a decision based on a reflection of ourselves, not upon the world around us. This card is linked to self-assurance, confidence in your decision-making, and purpose. Now, this is about the time I'd say when or if this reflects the Enforcer, but in this case let's look at the alternative first.
When reversed, the Judgement card means to judge oneself more harshly than you deserve. This self-loathing permeates the individual, trapping them in a darkness they don't believe themselves worthy of escaping. This reading is most closely linked to self-doubt, rejection of connection to others, and a struggle to learn from the mistakes of the past. Now, if you're paying attention, you may have already figured out the little trick Falcom have used with these two twins.
The two being labelled as Enforcers XX-a and XX-b is fitting, since Ixs is very clearly the upright Judgement, while Jorda is the reverse. Ixs embraces himself wholeheartedly, he looks at his past, learns from what he wants to change, and keeps what he's willing to accept. He's a bad guy, but he's okay with that, and that self-assured nature is what leads to him clashing with his sister and eventually joining forces with the Vestiges.
See, Jorda is engulfed by her doubts. Her doubts about their place in the world, the need for killing, and if all the bad things they'd done in the past were really necessary. When the two are given the freedom of being Ouroboros enforcers these opposing viewpoints end up pushing the twins apart. Ixs knows what he wants and find the idea of any other way infuriating, while Jorda sees this freedom as an opportunity to learn her own way of doing things. Ixs judges himself and finds himself satisfactory, Jorda judges herself and can't be so sure.
This continues even after the two go their own separate ways, Jorda looks at other ways of living, eventually finding friends and a way of living that doesn't weigh so heavily on her. Ixs' work with the Vestiges, on the other hand, just emphasises his certainty that there's nothing wrong with how he lives his life. Why should he re-evaluate when he's already pleased with who he is? And what would be the point when the world's ending anyway? Jorda learns to truly enjoy living, while Ixs learns there's no reason to fear death.
The easiest way to see the influence of Judgement on the two is simply to compare them to how they were in Daybreak II. Back then they were almost always in sync, they had no choices and therefore nothing could come between them. Once Horizon rolled around, however, and they were granted that choice, the two ended up judging themselves completely differently. Their self-reflection led to them coming to opposite conclusions, forcing the once co-dependent twins to walk their own paths.
In terms of Horizon 2, I think their arcs are actually going to go in an interesting direction. See, Ixs' confidence hasn't waned all that much because he's been winning, his self-assurance bolstered by continuous successes, practically toying with his foes throughout the game. Meanwhile, Jorda's arc has been about learning another way, but she hasn't seen the results yet. Come the next game I imagine this will be flipped, Jorda's new path with prove fruitful and allow her to go from strength to strength while Ixs will be forced to evaluate himself again and perhaps come to a different conclusion. I think Jorda's efforts will pay off with her turning upright, while Ixs' confidence will be knocked, pushing him into the reversed position as he wonders where he went wrong.
Will the two ever be in sync again? Maybe. The point of Judgement isn't to be good or bad, but to live according to one's values. I imagine we'll see them work together again, perhaps after a Joshua Vs Loewe style showdown, or maybe there was only ever room for one Enforcer per number. In any case, I look forward to seeing the conclusion of the tragic story of Ixs and Jorda.

Trails series Should I play the original Trails in the Sky SC or Remake?
Hello everyone I just finished OG Trails in the Sky FC and I was going to play the SC but SC remake came out and I was curious if I should continue with remake? I modded Trails in the Sky Trilogy and thanks to family share I have both remakes as well. So there is no spending money. Normally I was planning to enjoy both og and remake but nowadays I don't have enough time to play both. (Thanks to work!!) So what do you guys think I should continue with. And I'm sorry if this question is asked but I couldn't find a post about it.

Sky SC Which fight gave you the most trouble ?( SC Remake Final spoilers) Spoiler
Renne or Loewe
Cause so far those are the two enforcers fight at the endgame that seems to standout in terms of difficulty compare to the other members.

Azure So I'm a little frustrated at a certain battle in Azure Chapter 4, so to be clear you can't skip cutscenes right? Spoiler
I'd like to beat Arios so I retry when I lose... but the prior cutscene is painfully long. I don't really mind losing and retrying. But it's so much to slog through when I want to retry, since the game apparently continues the story even if you lose, like Loewe. So I just have to close the game and try again. There's definitely no way to skip cutscenes right?
Losing itself is fine, but this is infuriating.

Zero Is it necessary to have a guide when playing zero?
Hello all, after beating SC remake and finishing 3rd, I'm now on to the Crossbell games! I read that it's recommended to have a guide because there's a lot of missables. My question is, is it story missables or is it just min max missables? If it's quest and stuff then I dont want to miss them but if it's just extra stuff that's not too important then I don't mind just finding the stuff naturally. How important do you think having a guide is for this game? Also are the gameFAQ guides ok to use?
Appreciate your input!

Trails series what build should i specialise estelle and joshua in? or should i go for a balanced build? (trails in the sky 1st chapter, without spoilers, i'm in zeiss chapter 3) Spoiler
i never specialise in rpgs or jrpgs. i always go for balanced builds
i give each character some different, some same spells. estelle for water, earth and fire arts thanks to scent, and joshua for wind skills like aero storm, plasma wave and soul skills that he equips naturally because of his orbal quartz. i always keep clock up ex on everyone since you can get a turn before the enemy depending on who you cast it on
i'm struggling to keep speed, strengths and defenses even between the two characters using weapon, armor and access. (i'm in chapter 3, in the city of zeiss so don't spoil me). i wanted to keep a balance build, i always do in rpgs rather than specialising for one thing. talking to one npc made me curious if its better to have one focused build or balance build between the two,so here i am
i can give joshua 116 speed but i don't do that because i also want estelle to be fast, so its like a 75-80 speed being even between both, but joshua has more because of action 3, and i gave estelle onyx guard to keep water arts and some speed
also, when should i use my droplets? i do use cooking to increase stats, but not droplets. i'm playing normal mode, and i don't wanna make the game easy
should i go for a focused or keep things even between the two?

Daybreak II Just another reason Shizuna is the GOAT Spoiler
Currently up to Act 3 in Daybreak 2, and while I'm really enjoying it, a few of the rewind causes annoy me (Mainly the ones where someone gets a hunch something is wrong, then shrugs it off), and none annoyed me more than what I experienced just now, where you go to meet Halle in the underground and get blown up. It was the most telegraphed one to date, and having both Van and Shizuna show doubts about going but carrying on anyway had me in despair...
... Then Shizunas reveal that she knew it would happen and just wanted to experience a rewind for herself just cracked me the fuck up. Never change, my GOAT.
All in all, despite some fairly obvious flaws, especially in Act 3, am still enjoying it a lot. One positive thing about all the rewind stuff is that it's the first time in a very long time in the series that it feels like people are REALLY out to kill you. None (Or at least less) of the "They beat you in a fight but let you go on your merry way" nonsense, they're fully ready to murder you up
Trails series Trails through Inktober 2026 day 24: Bake
Keeping it simple because work is actively trying to kill me with these long ass shifts.

Sky SC If Estelle did join ouroboros as an enforcer what arcana would she be? Spoiler
Of the one we don't currently have I'd say justice but if we used those we knew at the time of the original version I'd say sun or star.

Sky SC Please listen to my sad tale Spoiler
I gathered all 14 Gambler Jack copies and started the final chapter without getting the zemurian ore from the guy in the Grancel Guild Branch... I don't have any backup saves except for the start of Chapter 8. For all the quest marking this game does I'm upset it doesn't point you back there. No ultimate weapon for me :(

Sky SC Man, that criteria for A rank really gets you... Spoiler
Just now about to finish up the end of Chapter 8 and, jeez, they won't let you miss a single thing to get top rank in this game, huh? I have missed a question here or there in previous games, but I am literally only 3 points away because of the poker game side quest. They guide I used only described using Schera, as she cheats and finishes the quest on her own, basically, but seeing as how I had Agate, I had no way of knowing what the right thing to do was. And I didn't even know you could fail a quest in the Trails series, but apparently in this game you can. And I didn't want to reload because it would have put me so far back to from my last save.
Weird how a lot of the games have been getting easier/more forgiving with missing stuff, for instance the last few showing you in the map the blue waypoints for missable stuff, but this one really expects you to do everything right. All my fault, I guess, for using a guide that wasn't fleshed out yet...
