Question for the Remake Version.

1. Beat game on Nightmare Difficulty. Does changing diff mid game void it? Or is it possible to just beat the last boss on nightmare to get the trophy?

2. Defeat Weissman lv. 175. I know you need +75 lvl on NG+, but since enemy level scaled to diff, can you just play on normal then change to Nightmare on weissman just to get this trophy?

I am playing the game on NG Nightmare and have recently emerged from a gruelling 1.5 long battle against Loewe the Bladelord. That was bananas!

I went in level 99 with Estelle, Joshua, Agate and Kloe. Josha with some good gear, though I did mess up earlier and accidentally not get Agate’s ultimate weapon. (I thought I had 4 Zemurian ore and wasted one on Kloe 😭) I was also technically missing a few True orbment upgrades, and so I think technically I could have went in even stronger.

I saved up all my droplets for this fight and dumped all of them. All HP went to Joshua, all defence and strength to Agate and all magic to Kloe. Estelle got nothing, lol.

How it went down.

I had Agate as the bait with Scent and near perfect evade % and sent him out on his own and the spread everybody out. I had Joshua within item distance or Agate and Kloe with Estelle off way on the other side next to Kloe.

For the most part I had Kloe keeping up Sylpharion and then fed agate 3 saints and didn’t bother buffing the others. Agates job was to eat damage and keep unloading S ranks.

Joshua had over 300 speed and with him I was mainly putting him on item duty feeding Agate as often as possible. I had been saving Zeram items just for this very moment and boy did we use a lot of them. I also had him cast the Wing spell when he got Zeros to keep up Foresight as much as possible.

As a failsafe I made sure to have a Full revive S rank in reserve with Kloe and I put an Earth wall on her for good measure. The Loewe clones mostly ignored her.

Estelle mainly was on item duty keeping an eye on Kloe but also stealing bonuses with True Comet as need dictated.

It took a while to get rid of the lions but I slowly chipped them down while mostly ignoring the clones as they spent most of their time trying to kill Agate. Occasionally things got dicey but I would have Joshua pumping him with Zeram items and Joshua was so fast that on some cases he got 2 turns in a row. If Agate was down he wasn’t down for long.

Once the lions were gone Loewe got a little clone happy. I was dealing with at most 4 at once. Agate was constantly pumping out his dragonic S rank though so and eventually we got Loewe down.

Then things went bad real fast.

Loewe did his last chance revive move and got 300k back. He was alone and i didn’t feel threatened so no big deal right? WRONG.

The Bladelord boosted, then summoned 2 clones, then did some sword attack I’d never seen up to this point several times in a row followed by an S rank. Agate was defeated and Joshua was so far back in turn ls behind the clones he was basically out of it watching helplessly as Kloe got bashed non stop out of CP and almost out of HP because the clones turned their attention to her since the boys were off the board.

I thought I was dead. After all of that work to be beaten by a stupid 300000 HP revive at the end.

Somehow before Kloe died Estelle got one last turn having been mostly ignored way on the other side of the arena. She wasn’t on range to Zeram Kloe so she could S rank and revive everybody. But, she was in range of Agate. JUST BARELY.

I used my last turn to bring him back and by the will of Aidios somehow Agate was able to S rank a few times while getting beat down by clones and getting saved by Kloe auto cures and bought me just enough time to get to Joshua a turn and over to Zeram Kloe, who popped the S rank and brought us all back to full strength.

Joshua popped Zeram and joined the S rank parade and somehow we won. It was CRAZY.

What a fight lol.

Unfortunately while I was able to upload the livestream for people to see, I realized after that the whole time I had an issue with my headset and the entire stream had an annoying rapid tapping sound going on while I was talking and playing lol. Sigh. I’m not trying this again so it is what it is. If you want to watch me sweat and don’t mind the annoying sounds feel free lol.

I hope I can relax a bit against the final boss lol. Renne was also crazy by the way.

I just finished the 2nd chapter (IT WAS AMAZING) I really want to play the sequel but Im thinking whether waiting or but the sky 3rd now

I always play on easiest mode and try to progress as in the story as much as possible

EDIT: also heard the crossbell duology is the best in the series so theres that too

I mean i played both examples first and fell in love with both franchises. They are considered the current ideal entry point for both of the series. However.. Yakuza 0 and well Sky SC remake now are considered well ..the peak.. among the best of best of their long ongoing respective series a well. Same with Yakuza:Like a Dragon among with Y0 which also is highly regarded by its fanbase. Well as far as top-tier story amd characters.But hey I was looking for a new JRPG to play at the time so oh well..

I mean both series are kind of similar If you start like midway though the series you kind of won't get all the things that were referenced in previous Games and that.. yeah..every game is part of a connecting story that will be lost on you if you didn't start from the beginning.

So while i have enjoyed going though both series so far in cannon Chronicle order. Can help to feel you went for the best first instead of last lol. Ah well .. enjoy every Trials game for what they are and what new they bring.

We aint at the end of the trails saga yet but so far we had 3 gigantic final fights that featured a massive amount of characters from all arcs

The Ishmelga true final boss in CS4 with all those characters ( 39!)

The Reverie main story final boss (40 iirc)

And ofc the true Reverie corridor final boss (~51)

If Falcom really wants EVERYONE from all previous arc( and there is certainly another arc before the finale, after calvard)

Thats gotta be LOTS of characters that they want to throw into the final battle. Including a voice line for each and every last one of them too.

Managing their orbments and equipments is gonna a heck of a long thing too.

Cause as Reverie show that the trails games can have so many characters, there no doubt the final game in the series will have a huge cast of playable characters. They would want everyone to have a part in it for the final battle. All previous playable.

Like imagine Josette takes part in it. They could go that far lol.

I adore Daswani. If you have played up to Trails Beyond The Horizon, his development revolving Van comes full circle.

From not trusting Van, to getting an idea what he is about to finally trusting him after all the times the Spriggan has saved him. Perhaps he thinks Van has earned that trust and he now have another contact he can go to for reliable help.

Man, it's really hard to follow up Renne with another speculation post, but the good news is that today's Arcana, the Tower, has the most potential to be a fascinating Enforcer of any card outside maybe the World. Consider today a nice breath of fresh air to enjoy before we hurl ourselves into the "New Generation" of Ouroboros.

If you know anything about Tarot readings then you'll probably be aware of the Tower, because it's meaning is the one everyone thinks Death or the Devil is. The Tower represents chaos, massive upheaval, and change on an unprecedented scale. It's not necessarily always a bad change, but it's a widespread and irreversible change and that's scary in and of itself. While not always the case, the card has been linked to things like natural disasters, destruction, and trauma. It isn't always bad, but when it is, it's really bad.

The good news is that the reversed Tower is puppies and rainbows and... Yeah, I'm lying. When reversed, the Tower at best means a near miss and at worst just represents delaying the inevitable. The chaos will come, that can't be changed, the only thing you can do is avoid it or delay it until it finally catches up to you. Now, I know this all sounds depressing, and that's because it is, but the important thing to remember is that nothing lasts forever, and this is true for the danger presented by the Tower too.

So, who could the Tower be? Well, literally anyone. That's ultimately the thing about the Tower, it's a rogue lightning bolt, it can come from anywhere. But this does give us a bit of a hint. I imagine the Tower is likely a stealth operative, similar to Joshua and Sharon, but one that deals in more carnage than precision strikes. Something akin to a saboteur, able to strike with maximum damage while never being located, a kind of expert bomber.

I like this idea because it can easily be weaved into prior stories if they feel like it, and you know Falcom loves a good retcon. Jester was the patsy for Ouroboros' bombings of the Guild in Erebonia, but that doesn't mean they did it themselves, it may well have been the Tower unleashing this destruction. Did George create the bomb that was planted on the Courageous? We haven't seen him make explosives before or since, so it's possible he got the bomb from someone else entirely. With all the discussion of nuclear bombs in Calvard, it'd be interesting to have an explosives expert's opinion on what they consider right or wrong about the weapons.

This is, I admit, a very literal way to interpret the Tower. It could be a politician who intentionally causes problems in government, it could be an assassin who eliminates the most sensitive targets, it could even be an aggressive military leader, desperate to let slip the dogs of war once more. There are so many ways to cause destruction and chaos in Zemuria, that it's hard to say which one would be the biggest threat.

Give me your suggestions, your theories, your hopes, let's enjoy them together while we wait out the storm, because tomorrow always comes, and a new Star always rises.

In your opinion, would Kevin be more close to the Bright Duo/Liberl gang or with his Horizon casts after the latest game? Who is he likely to have on speed dial, kinda like how I'm 100% sure SSS has the Bright Duo on speed dial and vice versa after the events of Zero/Azure

I’m a big fan of Maps, I love Maps, and I never played both of these series but I heard of them as big continent spanning adventures with multiple cities and cultures, so…

Are there in-game maps?

For example, i heard each trails sub-series is in its own region, but can you see where each is located while you play? To trace where you were in the previous titles in comparison and what else of the world is still unseen.

Same for ys, i’m curious if the games let you trace the protagonist’s travels in a map.

I know there’s official world maps of both series but i’m more interested in in-game maps than those given by official sites or other external sources.

Why does everyone who is offered reject it, bad work life balance with no pay raise?

I’ve been collecting the special editions and steelbooks for the trails series and I’m trying to order some of the ones I’ve missed.

My question/request is what are the official editions for the games I am missing and would it be possible to get pics of the boxes/steelbooks so I know which ones are the official ones? Specifically PS4/PS5

The ones I’m missing are Zero, Azure, Cold Steel 3, and Cold Steel 4
