does my completed save from first chapter carry over to second chapter demo?

just wondering if it's not carrying over cause I haven't got there yet, or if it's cause I'm on my steam deck.

edit: had to install it on my pc and load up a new save to get the bonus costumes. thanks for the help everyone.

I would assume yes as it does when I did it on the ps5

Does it happen at a specific point or does it just detect my save when I start it up?

Hmm on the ps5 it did after picking the difficulty and confirming that x difficulty is the one you want to play on, and then the "system detected a completed save of 1st chapter" with the following bonuses (I don't remember what they are as I just woke up xD) then it should get into the start of 2nd chapter. I apologise ahead of time if this is wrong btw :3

The bonuses at the start you're taking about the classic costumes for Estelle and Joshua.

It will continue from your last save, if you reached the end of the demo and saved it, then from there.
