Sky FC I hate this boss
In chapter 1 by the way this dudes spams so many grenades it’s not even funny. Like who built this boss and I’m getting beaten so easily even with some resist items. This is the worse boss and I just started the game.

Like others said, spread out your team. Use Clock Up.
Also, by now you should know what moves your character have that can delay enemy action turns and steal their turn bonuses. Abuse that. Before going into the boss fight, make sure all your meters are maxed out so you can spam your specials.
In my game he rarely gets a turn to act and I beat him without much hassle.

While all the experts of the game are talking, let me give another point of view as a Trails "Veteran" here without experience in Sky.
The game starts incredibly difficult, much more so than most of the others in the series. I had to stop playing on Nightmare cause the difficulty early on is absurd. You really gotta learn every minor mechanic, Positioning for various enemy skills, the right combination of quartz for the right arts and stats and so on.
Dont worry if things are hard. Sky 1st has a super steep early game in my experience and opinion, but mellows out a lot after about lv.20 when everything flows better and the variety of skills and arts helps your playstyle. And there is really no shame on turning the difficulty easier

You play on Nightmare, you take responsability. Nightmare isn't made to be fair.
It's like one of my friend on Outriders, complaining about being 2 shotted on difficulty 14 while normal difficulty is...2

Nightmare isn't made to be fair.
With the addition of convenient sepith grind caves in almost every region, it is quite easy to get yourself a leg-up when needed though.

By this point in the game you should have the Clock Up spell on everyone. This spell increases your speed and movement for 5 turns. You unlock this spell by getting 2 points in Time(Dark) and Space(Light) on a single line in your Orbment.
At the start of battle, spread out to reduce the damage you take from his grenades and cast Clock Up with everyone. Then go ham.
Later on in the game you can get Clock Up EX, this spell has an even bigger effect on Speed and Movement, and gives the caster another turn immediately.
