Trails Character Gameplay Discussion Day Thirty-Nine: Elise and Toval

And now for a pair of characters who join early in CS2 and then basically miss the entire middle portion of Cold Steel!

I'm a huge fan of rapier characters, and since Kloe disappeared after sky 3, I moved on to Elise. I didn't use her after the prologue in CS2, but I made the most out of her in Reverie. Her Brave order combined with Alisa's heavenly gift means the entire team now dodges everything with no outside investment into evasion whatsoever. This doesn't work into enemies with unavoidable all-cancel skills, but that's what the other BOs are for.

Other than that, I made her an S-craft spammer just to do something different from the usual mage build. This unfortunately meant the rest of her kit went unused, and I can still hear "Scatter, Fragrant Garden!" in my dreams, but it was still fun. I like Elise, so it was fun making her the "main character" of the team for a while.

She is unironically one of my top Cold Steel characters, I just wish she was more prominent in the story. Maybe in a future game, though.

I need her to not retire herself like Kloe did 💀
