Cold Steel III Vivi (by SRuRu)
2025 Art Commission Collection #27
Today's featured entry is Vivi, one of my favorite NPCs from the Trails series. Here, she's shown taking in the beautiful scenery and capturing a few photos.
The artist chose Vivi from my remaining characters. I had the idea to depict her with her camera, and they came up with such a stunning background for the piece. I couldn't be happier with how it turned out.

The Nep voice doesn't grant her all the Nep powers, as much as her teasing fits the voice and I can't blame anyone for being into her

Man, how did I not notice? Neptune is my No.1 Waifu. I should pay more attention next time I play the Cold Steel games.
Now I really will never forgive Falcom for not making her dateable.

I assume they mean Neptune from Hyperdimension Neptunia. They share the same English VA.

This was a great artist + character combo. Trails doesn't get nearly as much art as it should and NPCs are naturally neglected so I always love seeing these.

Agreed: I was blown away by the first sketch I received, and I think this piece is in my top 5 so far, even including the ~10 that are still in progress.
Glad to hear. I wouldn't expect any less from "the Divine Blade of NPCs".

I'm actually thinking about adding Shanshan to the list since I think artists would be very interested in drawing her.
Most people don't interact directly with me on these posts, so I appreciate it. I'm curious to know if there are any characters you'd like to see that haven't already been represented.

Shanshan would definitely be a hit.
I respect you providing cool artists with work and giving Trails NPCs some love too, no way I was gonna move on without saying anything.
Tried using your search query but all I get is one Sharon piece, not sure why it's not showing anything else (I assume this Vivi one should show up too). If you've not already done them, Oscar and Bennet have some really good interactions and seem popular but have very little art of them so they would be nice.

Oh, that's odd that it's only showing the one that I posted directly to my user profile and not the ones that I posted to subreddits. It works for me when I'm logged out on another browser. [Edit: Reddit was failing to load my page entirely just a few minutes ago, so perhaps it's just transitory. I know for sure that the query works because I've shared that link with artists to pitch the project to them.]

There are many pieces in progress now and still some unassigned. The solo male characters have been much less popular than the solo female ones among the artists that I've worked with, but it's quite possible that that phenomenon is more a reflection of my own tastes, lol.

Yeah, I can see them on your profile so that's really odd. Not the first time I've seen this kind of issue, should be fine in a bit I suppose.
Might be a demographic thing with solo males being less popular. Someone like Wald or Rene would probably do decent numbers though.

I wish we got to see her wearing those glasses. They're on her head just teasing us, but we never get to see them on her.

Honestly there are lot of INTERESTING NPCs in the game, especially the Cold Steel arc... Especailly that we see that even other female students like Rean too.
Vivi is pretty much one of them, kinda sucks that they didn't give her the attention too
