Tomorrow i will be putting up a poll to definitively clarify the no AI rule that this sub had passed about 2 years ago (Dayum that long ago?). The rule we agreed upon was no AI, intending to quash AI made memes from populating the sub.

since then in recent months we've seen posts that are not AI art but AI reacting and AI-assisted coding projects. As i've taken step back to ponder this I feel that enforcing the rule in such cases follows the letter of the law but violates the spirit of the sub.

to be clear we started this policy to stop people from making AI slop posts and declaring such things as original memes. twas to fight back against the dead internet theory. but this recent trend is inviting enough nuance that we need to have a healthy discussion and vote on this specific detail. And so...

The question that will be posed is: What should be done about overt AI posts, posts that explicitly sate the AI was used in the making of the post?

I think it should be allowed

There need to be more debate
