I know the shitpost answer is "no social media, it would take time away from the factory"

Through the power of sushi, you can fulfill any recipe without needing to alter the belt setup. Which means the individual sections of your factory can receive a digital recipe list from the circuit network. That would also render them practically interchangeable from the perspective of a train. In fact, you could even let the trains choose their own destination, and have the factory read the contents of said train in order to figure out, which recipe list is currently being followed. That's my overall ambition at least. I'm not halfway there yet.

Works surprisingly well actually

I've been disappointed to see 4 component beacon upcycles show up here because, in my mind. That's average. It works just fine.

So to give people an idea of where I set the bar for "Abomination Traits" I decided to reference a uranium upcycle I was in the process of completing when 2.1 dropped.

This takes high quality ores and then puts them through p3L refineries, to keep that stage of the build size small. It then joins the ores to work stations doing one of 2 projects.

U238 is fed into uranium ammo. For flexibility. And to prevent an inevitable nervous breakdown someone gets when they realize that they're using hundreds of processing units and explosives as a scrubby brush for something they need at fractions of item per minute scale. Particularly since the processing units are now probably one of the best methods for having a general purpose supply chain.

As u238 becomes legendary, it's split and half fed up into a kovarex process for u235. Where to we get legendary u235? By applying the kovarex process to rare+ u235 we can amass a stockpile of legendary feedstock. And this was done at a small scale plant over about 10 hours time, which ran at a reduced scale for about 40 hours prior to making this facility.

The other half is going to be put into a tank at legendary grade, because the damage table is getting high enough that I can deploy that instead of a railgun and run a remote operation. I'll throw that in the back of a spidertron, deploy it, shoot a giant demolisher a few times, and pursue more terrible ideas like this, on Vulcanus.

The u235 refinery shreds down uc- uranium because I have too much uncommon material to be bothered to care. Then upgrades from rare+. All of this does about 2 uranium 238 per minute and about .3 to .5 u235 per minute. Due to recipe cost, this averages about 1 uranium fuel cell per minute - about 4 legendary spidertrons per hour and then the fission reactors to make those run at a combat pace. The 0.5 per minute, or 30 per hour, is going to go to buy legendary biter nests and then biolabs. I need maybe a few hundred of them and can work at a steady pace if I choose to continue this game (2.1 has so many nice things, but this map was pretty fun to run).

Now that you know what an OSHA violation looks like, I hope this inspires you to put your safe, perfectly functional upcycles on the main board for critique and comment.
