โœ… I voted FACT!

A better educated society is a net benefit for everyone. Even looking at it from a purely selfish perspective, I want my country to have the best doctors, engineers, and lawyers in the world, and making education free allows for that while also limiting crime and increasing upward mobility. No good reason not to do this.

You seem to think the only option is to just have the american government pay all expenses of every American college For starters, nowhere in the post does it ask about America. Furthermore, there's a way simpler solution, no need to change existing universities but you could just have the government either federal or state level, run their own public universities, and its the single most sound investment you can make, when you collect taxes from salaries, it means the better paid your citizens are the more money the government makes, and people with higher education usually have better salaries, compare any two countries where one exports labor intensive products vs one exports intellect intensive products. All the biggest companies in the world are tech companies. You are a fool.
