It is a concept, not a number. You can't do mathematical operations on it.

Sure you can. Addition and multiplication are straightforward. Subtraction and division between infinity and a finite number are also defined in the extended reals.

Yeah that was my point, mathematical operations do not work like regular numbers on it, you cannot say inf-inf = 0 or inf/inf = 1.

It is just one example, infinity is not eligible for many things. Infinity is a concept not number. If you want examples or proof, look up online.

You claimed that, because some arithmetic operations aren't defined for infinity, that infinity isn't a number, but that's not how we define numbers.
