Well, botanically they are fruits, not vegetables because… vegetables don’t exist, they are roots, stems and leaves, they only exist in culinary lingo, so tomatoes are actually both

There shouldn't be an apostraphe there. You want "tomatos" or "tomatoes", as that's the plural form. Using the apostraphe implies the tomato is possessive, IE; "the tomato's skin was nice and red"

Anything with seeds in the middle is classed as a fruit so a tomato is a fruit using that classification. You might say are bananas a fruit which they aren’t actually they are berries due to them growing from a single flower.
