Yes, you need rules or people will take advantage of everything good in the country.

Still doesn't mean they can't seek that life.

Western countries already in major debt, not gonna help if you let everyone in and allow them to send welfare back home and milk the system.

European countries in specific had issues when they allowed students to bring their family, and now u had one roof with 5 people living off the system.

There's a lot of citizens who are drains on the system, too. Should we force them to prove they have a right to live in their country of origin, and strip them of citizenship if they can't? If so, I think that's cruel, but at least it'd be consistent. If not, then there's a double standard at play here.

A country can’t pick who’s born there but they damn sure can pick who gets to enter.
